Yes, just make sure they have your AppleID and password or have FindMy already turned off. Have a recent backup. They just need to give the employee the name the appointment is under and also their name so they know who to look for when it’s their turn.

Other alternative is to call the apple store first since it's the holiday season and make an appointment over the phone. You may also try your phone carrier. First call the apple store at the Providence place mall and speak with a representative. Hope this helps.

Even if they have to send it out it may not cost you anything. My daughter has a iPhone 7 and it's about 3 years old.. it wasn't working and we brought it in and the nice guy did some diagnostics and came to the conclusion that it needed to be shipped out. We are way out of the 1 year warranty but the guy just took some information and said it would be no cost to us and also gave us a loaner phone that he loaded up with her info and everything is for free. That would depend on if your IPad is an older version or a newer one...if older you might be able to find ear buds on Amazon or Ebay. If a newer version than you will most likely need to use Apple ear buds.
