I have been here and have nothing good to say. They take up to over an hour just to answer your call. Their utensils are sometimes full of old food. It took them over two hours just to get some Tylenol. I went to the hospital for four days and when I returned my personal belongings, walker and clothes were gone! I waited four days before I realized I was never going to get them back and signed myself out since my rehabilitation was almost finished anyways. HORRIBLE PLACE!

My husband's grandmother was in this facility. It was depressing, disgusting and disturbing. I understand the shortage on nurses all around, but how on earth this location is still open? What do they do with the money they charge these people's insurance? Grandmother was thirsty, disgusted with their food, she was placed in a room with a screaming patient, (God only knows the discomfort that lady was having) couldn't sleep and overall she has been traumatized by staying here. On the day of her discharge, let's just say it was a BIG AUFUL MESS, do not trust the Social Worker, do not trust the staff some CNA's were nice. Sorry but this place should be closed down, or the money should go to update and sanitize the whole place.

BEWARE! THIS FACILITY IS OPERATING UNDER A NEW NAME. It is very poorly managed and operated and life threateningly dangerous. My mother somehow contracted, and died of COVID-19 after she had been in the 10 day quarantine for over 20 days because a brief return to the hospital required the quarantine to reset. She was negative for COVID-19 when she went in, negative when she returned from the overnight hospital stay, yet was sent to the hospital without informing her healthcare surrogate. To date, I have not been informed that I was in close contact with a COVID positive patient. Patients were allowed to sleep on the end of my mother's bed while she was there. While visiting I personally witnessed patients sitting or wandering the halls on wheelchairs and had free access to other patient’s rooms, transiting between the COVID-19 quarantine area rooms to regular care rooms, with no supervision. The facility is dirty and dark, clocks don’t work, furniture is dated and barely functional. When I visited and spoke with my mother on the phone, I always heard other patients crying for help. While I was there, one patient was crying for help for 7 minutes and 48 seconds before I heard someone ask her what was wrong. I requested communication from my mother's physician about her care plan, and never received any. At one point during my mother's stay, Gandy Crossing staff told me she was sent to the hospital, yet when I called the hospital they had no record of her being admitted there. In the end, my mother was transferred to the wrong hospital and they never informed me that she was even being sent to one, I discovered my mother had been transferred when the admitting hospital, the wrong one, called to ask for consent to a medical procedure. My mother had a health issue which required specialty care and they never scheduled the required follow up appointment to a specialist. I can only imagine the horror that other patients experience there, especially those without family close by. I kept detailed notes and a timeline of my mother’s lack of care. CNA’s were always kind but clearly overwhelmed with the number of patients. This is a racket, a despicable method of getting paid by the government and they clearly don't use the funds to maintain the facility to hire or enough staff to provide quality care to your loved ones. Take the time to scrutinize what this facility bills to Medicare and Medicaid. I beg you to remove your loved one if they are residents or do not allow placement there. Social workers and physicians don’t return calls, neither do they answer questions regarding any healthcare plan. They claimed not to have received any admission packet from the transferring hospital. This business wants money, the administrators/owners are unresponsive to inquiries; they want money, they don’t care about your loved ones.

Depressed place. They don’t care 🤷‍♀️ to bathe an elderly person, just 2 days a week. My father got scabies , malnourished, the Doctors awful. The staff so so, sometimes they are rude, I don’t recommend this place to anybody. It is hard to speak with somebody else. Almost the time they are in a meetings, vacations, when you call 📱 they are in the other line they don’t care about their job. The owners don’t give a maintenance to this place, short in nursery., dirty rooms, the clothes missing, the furniture in the rooms older, the place smells awful. You are not able to speak with the Dr. on the phone, to discharge the patient another problem.. For my family and I are praying for my father not to stay in this place anymore 😡🤬period. I hate this place 😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬.
