Their customer service needs some work. Wouldn't recommend buying a firearm there. 3 of the 4 people I dealt with when making my purchase had zero social skills and were, quite frankly, rude. And to be honest, I did have a hang up in my background check. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because when I received my gun, the young fellow in the back of the store was very helpful with obtaining the ammo I bought online (after having to wait over 20 minutes from another employee who said he'd check in to it). My wife and I are business owners ourselves. We wouldn't hire 3 of the 4 to take out the trash. To the kid in the back, I tip my hat. To the others, I wont be back.

No Customer Service at all! I went in to purchase a gun I stood by the counter for over 15 minutes and not a single soul bothered to help me or ask me if I needed any assistance. I will purchase my firearm elsewhere along with the ammo! I will never spend another penny at impact ever again! Hire new staff or shut down!

I bought a Sig Sauer optic for my AR-15 online. I went into the store to pick it up and was completely ignored by the staff. They helped everyone in the store but me. Two employees at the front desk left instead of helping. I finally walked over to the gun counter to two employees who were helping the same customer and asked if one of them could assist. Instead of getting my optic he sent me back over to wait at the front counter. Finally an employee approached me after I'd been standing there for 15 minutes. Terrible customer service at this store. Update: Rob from Impact Guns read this review, reached out, and apologized for my experience. That was unexpected and appreciated so I'm raising my review from 1 to 3 stars. When a company shows it cares, even if it's after the fact, that matters to me.

I’m giving Impact Guns 1 star because of their poor customer service in February 2022. My brother was visiting from Japan and he wanted to buy a gun. We knew exactly what he wanted so we rushed over there after I got off work. We got there at 6:35. We walked in the door past three staff and went straight to the counter. The staff were talking to each other. We found the gun we wanted and walked to the staff to inquire about it. I asked the three staff about the pistol and the older staff quickly said "Can’t you see I’m busy?" He was looking over some papers but he didn’t have to be so rude. The other 2 staff were still talking so I had to ask again about the pistol. It was 6:40 by now and the staff was clearly annoyed that we wanted to purchase a fire arm close to closing. He followed us to the counter 2 steps away and said "That is a nice gun but we can’t start the purchase tonight, you’ll have to come back tomorrow." This is because the time it takes a background check to run. If the shop closes at 7pm but it won’t let you make purchases past 6:30 they should note that on their online hours. The gun I was looking at only cost $300. Out of curiosity I asked to see a gun that cost $4,000 and the staff perked up right away. His attitude towards me changed. This is because they get paid commission. I didn’t buy the more expensive gun. I usually like supporting local businesses over big chains but the staff at Impact Guns are rude and condescending. I won’t pay for smaller business mark up when they have such bad customer service. I guess I’ll go to Sportsman’s.

Call and see. I say no. Unless your using slugs. I'd call an outdoor range.
One hour before they close is standard at everywhere you can buy a firearm.
Yes there is. 285 West 2100 South South Salt Lake City, UT 84115 801-999-1904 Thanks!
We do have classes on Wednesday evenings at 5PM, but they fill up pretty quick. We're looking at having an additional class on Thursday evenings, please call to schedule. Hope this helps!
You can order the gun online and pick it up at the store and you do the 4473 at the store. I assume you might be local to Ogden. If not- please go here for more info: https://www.impactguns.com/how-to-order-a-gun/ It's easy- hundreds of people do it every day! Thanks for your interest.
Common sense and a decent understanding of gun safety.
You can buy most guns from private sellers. I say most because true full auto guns, amongst other restricted weapons you have to have federal level government license to own. Where it is an AR-15, you should be able to buy it no problems from your friend. But i would look up utah law on buying privately owned guns and what Utah's law says about bump stocks just to be safe.
Our Ogden store has a really good and fast gunsmith- Terry G. His summer hours are M-W-F. Feel free to stop by and chat or give us a call.
That's totally relative. I feel like it's cool on there, compared to outside that is 100 degrees.
What are you buying?
I would guess probably 21 years old
This is probably a question best asked over the phone with the company. Google questions are more geared at general questions about the facility.
This is probably a good question to call and ask them about.
Yes they do.
I've seen a used mg42 so.. depends on the gun but it's worth the stop by to check what tickles your fancy. I wanted the used Browning 1919 but it was 20k
We also do "Try Before You Buy" - where you can test many guns before purchase - or to try out a caliber.
Yeah they do, I don't remember the percentage. I think it's around 20 percent
Thanks for your concern. The family appreciates some privacy at this time of grieving. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
Yeah if it's not steel core or ap/api/tracer and such
Have you tried calling and asking?
Yes I believe 10.00 an hour is correct. You can also buy a range pass which will save you some if you shoot frequently. They do rent weapons even full auto guns for 25.00 but you have to buy the ammo from them and running full auto gets costly fast. Good folks in the store! Have shopped there for almost 25 years. Also the Get Some Guns range in Clearfield has a range, costs a bit more like 15.00 or 19.00 but you can hold the lane all day or go to lunch, come back and keep shooting maybe just not on the same lane. Good luck.
They do buy used guns but you would do better to sell it on your own. They want to make a profit on the deal both ways, on your trade in and on the sale of the new gun too. Pretty standard practice on most store trade ins with the gun businesses or pawn shops for that matter.
Yes and the instructor is very knowledgeable as is the staff. I recently completed mine and was happy with the course.
