Everyone I had interactions with were fantastic. All the way from check-in at the ER, triage, every doctor, nurse, assistant, tech, anesthesiologist, surgeon... EVERYONE made me feel comfortable and safe. Even with being short staffed they found the time to show compassion, empathy, share procedural information, help me with my own mental health through that current situation. They truly made me feel like they legitimately cared about me as a person and not another case to solve. They were also very thorough in their testing to make sure I had the best care possible so I could make it home to my family. It was very refreshing to have so many positive encounters. I can't say thank you enough to every person that was involved with my care while I was there.

It would be my hospital of last resort. My mother was taken there because she fell and broke her hip, and was transported by ambulance. She was seen by the trauma team, they found the break and had an orthopedic surgeon see her and she was operated on that very evening. This is when the nightmare begins. My mother was never left alone, either my husband, myself or a private nursing company I hired was with my mother all of the time. I saw how most of the times my mom would push the nurse button, she was ignored. Constantly! This was a woman who had a partial hip replacement and all she wanted was help with the bedpan! My mother was left to sit in her own feces because no one would come to help her. Before you say, why didn't you help her? I have a torn shoulder and cannot lift my mother. I would ask the nurses to please help us! I was very worried about her incision from the surgery getting infected. It baffles the mind, how an amazing surgery could possibly be destroyed by the failure to keep a wound clean! That's basic. This all happened in the Trauma Step Down Unit. There are less patients. You would think that the care would be at least as good as in a regular unit. It is not. The

I was very pleased with my experience at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care by both ER Doctors ( Dr. Glenn Goodwin and Dr. Allison Clark). When I say the doctors and all the other employees of the Aventura Hospital made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, then you can believe they are the best. Everyone was very nice, and it is nice to be treated well since you are the patient in need of help. I am so grateful that we have these quality providers so near to home. Thanks for being there.

They won’t let two people go in but they also don’t provide interpreters. I mentioned multiple times I needed to go in with my mum because she didn’t speak English and according to them they would be able to assist her in her spoken language, except she wasn’t. Lady at the front desk I think her name was Linda is extremely rude and needs urgent customer service training, how is it possible that people with 0 customer care skills are allowed to work at the front desk of a HOSPITAL? Do yourself a favor and take your loved ones elsewhere

We would suggest that you speak with the patient directly. If you are authorized to receive information about the patient, we can access translation services to assist you in communicating.

It is not a Private Hospital; The only public hospitals are the Jackson Memorial in Miami, and the Broward General Hospital in Broward County. For emergencies, no Hospital by Law can refuse to treat you, but BEWARE! they pass the bill to you !! You can ask in the Finance Department "Charity", face the problem, Do not put your head in the hole, even if you are a foreigner.
You can request them at ER or call Medical Record's Good Luck!

No habla espanol. Best of luck to you.
Are you kidding me..why would you ask a thing as important as that to a person that only leaves commentary? I would start with some one that has a degree in that field. Hopefully this person graduated at the top of the class
