Attractive building inside and out with a small exhibit dedicated to John Adams' contribution to Massachusetts law. Security screening is required to enter.

It's open to the public. You don't have to join a tour. When you go through the front door tell the security guard you're a tourist.

No, you can do that at the family and probate Court, which is in the Boston municipal Court located on New Chardon Street in Boston, by Haymarket.
