It took me too long to remember to write this review. I'm thankful that I found OC Veterans Service. Before I came here, I heard how bad the process to apply for VA compensation was. I already prepared myself that the process might take a year or longer. I met with one of the representative at this office, Ms. Ferguson, and she gave me a list of what to obtain to start the process. She is the best VA rep I've ever worked with. She's helpful, knowledgeable, and aggressive (in a good way that she would fight for you). The total time it took me was 3.5 months from start to finish to receive my VA compensation. Truly highly recommended Ms Ferguson.

Tommy and his team of VSO's are really nice and proficient. The secretary, on the other hand is lazy and rude. I called to ask a simple question that really she should have been able to answer, as a secretary who has been there for probably a long length of time at least two years referring to another review of her "service.". You know, she should learn as much as she can because secretaries are supposed to have GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! You're not supposed to say "I'm just a secretary. We're about to close for the day for training. You have to call tomorrow." in a harsh tone of voice. She needs to be fired. I will be glad to take over, since I am a veteran. If it weren't for HER I'd give this place a 5 star rating. Once she is replaced I will definitely give a 5 star rating. Either learn your stuff or leave.

I'm 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran and have been working wit this VA office for more than two years and have always found them professional and extremely helpful (too include the receptionist) with any issue I brought to them. You may need to wait a while to see a rep but is worth it.

I walked in to make sure my va claim was submitted correctly as i filed with the vfw. I asked the person at the front desk what other services they offered there and she said "i don't know I'm just the secretary". I arrived at 1100 and was told to return at 1300 because they are getting ready to go to lunch at 1200. Unprofessional, no courtesy, unhelpful place.

Are you enrolled in the VA Health care system? If so, they should give you a ID card.
Go to the police if missing for more than 24hrs
You must make an appointment in order to see a VSO to start a claim. You can also do it online at VA.gov. You need to open an account which is a little challenging due to the many steps required to set it up. Once you do set it up you can file claims and follow up on the status of your claims.
Unfortunately, they do not have bus passes there.
They can. They will tell you exactly what to do. They help with all of that stuff.
Register online or go to VA Hospital and they can give you one.
Go to the office, bring your DD214 if you have it and ask questions. They are awesome and will help and guide you. They do open at 8, I would suggest getting there closer to 7:15, and sign in on the log they place outside the door.
Just like Reggie said, all military medical records, and I should also mention, any new medical records from your actual doctor (s), any test of procedures, done to you or if you have any new information on your health that's not disclose in your military records.
Thks .... Jonathan
