Such an amazing library in the heart of Orlando. It’s truly the biggest library I have visited. The library has 5 floors, the first 4 floors are part of the library and are open to the public. The 5th floor is for library administration. The library has a Children’s Library, a Book Store, a Technology Center, a Sewing Studio, a Simulation Lab, a Teen Club Area, a Public Computer Area, a Passport office, a gift shop and many more cool areas. You can rent out books, dvd’s, cd’s, audio books. It also has study rooms, meeting rooms and classrooms you can reserve. Adults, Children, Teens, College Students can come here and find something to do, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. I love books and I am an avid reader, I have to say I was impressed with everything they had this is a MORE than books library.

Truly amazing. The library is one of the greatest social institutions offering resources that keep us up to date on cutting edge information and technology. The librarians are super helpful and offer such a wealth of knowledge. Everyone is friendly and happy at the library.

An amazing library! So much more than a library.

This honestly has to be the most impressive library system in the country (I have no idea if that's true just an opinion). The downtown building is a massive brutalist masterpiece. 5 floors of very cool stuff to explore. If you have the chance go there and bring your feeds.

No. Library allows you to check out up to 100 books for free with a valid library card. The only fee would be if you return the item late
Yes The Public Library Is Open to the Public. No the option for hours of study is not an option as this time... Every floor , of the Orlando Public Library Has been sectioned off to the Public, Including the Third and Fourth Floor , both of which, Have Study Rooms..
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was at work, but YES you can walk right in. You don't need a library card to visit, and explore. However, to check out anything or participate in certain activities, you'll need to get one. Either way, you will definitely enjoy yourself. Have a great time, let me know how you like it.
Yes you can. There's tables where you can read magazines, use your laptop, or whatever. There are branches through out Orlando also. Parking is by meter only by the main library. If you have your truck with you, I would go to one near, or in a shopping complex like the Hiawassee branch for instance. There is quite a bit of things to do there, so your hang out session should be enjoyable.
Legal residents only

You must be a resident of Orange County. Provide proof of that with state ID, and proof of residence. Doing so will allow you to get a library card at no cost, but you must sign up at the library. You can't do it online.
I don't know but I would doubt it because of the hurricane. Most state and local government places are going to be closed. If you have a book to returned I would suggest you use book drop.
Items are due before closing on your due date. You can find that information on the receipt provided by the library when you check out items. Here is a quick guideline: - Entertainment DVDs- 7 days - Informational DVDs- 21 days - Other Materials 21 days - Delivered Materials 26 days
You may return your library book to any Orange County library!
Not sure mary but if you call the library or look on the website they can tell you more about what your looking for
Yes, you can. You can drop off library items to any of the orange county library branches and the main location downtown. You can also mail your items back to the main location if you are unable to travel.
No, the library doesnt offer free curses. However, they do provide access to a great deal of literature that will cover the history, and popular uses of curses. They even offer computer basic computer classes that can help you become internet literate so you can continue learning about curses online. If your interest in learning expands beyond curses, you can also attend classes on fiber arts, electronics, or music production.
Only if you want to use a conference room
Yes they do, and graphic novels, a pretty extensive collection. First floor all the way on the back left.
I wouldn't doubt it. I went into the archives section and found things that I was really surprised they had. the library has a very good selection of archives, you might be just as surprised what they have, and I hope you find just what you're looking for. Have a great day.
Yes. Sundays at 4 p.m.
Will you have a list of courses there in the library?
All govt bldgs allow service animals by law. To avoid any problem, call and ask what the rules are, and get the name and position of the person who instructs you , It's a great library. I think you will be pleased.
The downtown library is the biggest
Yes only if you have a library card, last I remember you get 3 hours of access on the computer
Yes.
There is but you will have to fight off large numbers of homeless people to use it... Good luck!
Call or go in to the library you borrowed it from and let them know. Theyll charge you something for it, but it will be considerably less then the amount of late fees youll rack up for not returning it. As a side note many libraries will report on your credit if you have too many fees and you do not contact them to find a plan to pay them.
Try to see if you can find the book. If not, then contact the library. They will let you know what the cost of replacement is for it.
