When Judge Mark Gerhardt lets a monster who has a revoked license, was driving drunk on his way to harm his wife, punched her in the head while she was holding a toddler. Only needs $150.00 to get out of jail. Your courts have had many similar issues, something is majorly wrong. Vote citizens it’s your choice!!! I sure hope they checked to see if he owns a gun. Not mentally stable to own one and that poor wonen must be terrified with him out on the street again. Loser he is.

Everyone is polite, nice, and cordial. The rules put in place are nothing short of inhumane and abhorrent. But the ladies and gentlemen are just doing their jobs. And a fine one at that. But honestly a slice of bologna on white bread for dinner? Can the inmates get an apple? They're like a buck for a 30 pack. The higher ups can do better with maintaining the cleanliness and the inmates deserve a fruit every once in a while. But the officers and COs were nice.

Always very helpful when you call the Circuit Clerk. The friendly lady offered phone numbers to free legal assistance willing to give 15 minutes of advice.

If you are charger with a crime and cannot afford representation one can be appointed to you. Must file affidavit of assets and income. You must also show that you trier to find one before asking for a free attorney. Attorneys can't be appointed for civil matters.
The McHenry County Government Center and the Courts are closed today, Monday, November 26, 2018, due to the blowing and drifting on the roads. Please check www.mchenrycircuitclerk.org later in the day on Tuesday to see when your case has been rescheduled to.
What county where you born in??..if you were born in McHenry county..you could get it from the vitals department
The County Clerk handles elections, but I do believe you can either mail your ballot (which requires postage), or you can drop it in the drop box in front of the McHenry County Administration Building on Ware Rd in Woodstock.
Yes, to satisfy the typical ticket without a court appearance, it is assessed under Schedule 12 of the Criminal and Traffic Assessment Act, which is $164.00.
Yes they charge by pages, so you have to wait for her quote. They have an email one the website too, that's supposed to be the official way to get electric copies.
You have the option of appearing in court, either in person or by Zoom, on the court date/time listed on your ticket and requesting court supervision from the judge, or you can pay the ticket and request supervision without an appearance by taking traffic safety school. Traffic school is being done online through MCC.
Yes the McHenry County Courts are open. Effective immediately the Court is following CDC guidelines to reduce the number of people coming to the Courthouse and continuing some traffic and small claims cases. For more information see our website at www.mchenrycircuitclerk.org.
As long as it is a public case, you should be able to view what happened on our website at www.mchenrycircuitclerk.org or you can call our office at 815-334-4190.
No, you would need to see the County Clerk in Kane County.
The Illinois Supreme Court provides a full suite of Eviction forms and instructions for how to complete them on their website at https://www.illinoiscourts.gov/forms/approved-forms/forms-approved-forms-circuit-court/eviction
You would need to check with the McHenry County Recorder of Deeds to research liens on property. If the lien resulted from a court case, you could search for the court case with the Circuit Clerk on our public case lookup, but you would need to search that by the party names involved in the case. Guessing that the number you have on the lien might be the recording number from the Recorder's office.
WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE TO OBTAIN A MARRIAGE LICENSE, AND WHERE CAN I GET MARRIED? Both parties must appear in person to fill out an application for a license to get married. Applications are available through any county clerk’s office. The cost of applying for a marriage license varies by county, and is usually in the range of $15 to $40. Bring with you a form of identification, such as a birth certificate, driver’s license, or passport. The marriage license is valid for 60 days, and is valid only in the county in which it was issued, which means that your marriage ceremony must take place within that county. There is a one-day waiting period before the license becomes effective. A court can waive this waiting period if you file a petition showing sufficient cause.

The courthouse is open today (Tuesday, 1/29), but will be closed on Wednesday, 1/30/19, due to the cold weather. All cases scheduled for 1/30/19 will be rescheduled to February 27th, with the exception of a few hearings which will be rescheduled by court order. Please check online at www.mchenrycircuitclerk.org to see rescheduled dates.
The decision whether the McHenry County Government Center will be open on Monday (1/28/2019) will be made Monday morning at about 5:00 a.m. Please watch the County's website at www.mchenrycountyil.gov in the morning to see whether we will be open or not. The website should be updated no later than 6:00 a.m.
Yes, the McHenry County Courthouse is open for business on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
Yes, the Courthouse is closed today, all departments including Probation. Only Bond Court will be held in the jail this morning.
All Court dates will be rescheduled. The Circuit Clerk will mail notices with the new dates. Check our website late tomorrow or Wednesday at www.mchenrycircuitclerk.org to see your rescheduled date, they should be updated in our system by then.
The only way to get “Letters of Office” is to go thru the Probate process. If you are not sure whether a Probate case has already been filed in McHenry County, you can check our online search at www.McHenryCircuitClerk.org. If there is no Probate case filed, and there was a Will, the Will would need to be filed in addition to the documents required for filing a new probate case (i.e. Petition for Letters of Testamentary, Affidavit of Heirship, etc.). If there was no Will, then Petition for Letters of Administration and Affidavit of Heirship would need to be filed to open the Probate case. With this type of case, you would also need to get a Surety Bond. We do have more Probate information and links to Probate forms on the Circuit Clerk’s website at https://www.mchenrycountyil.gov/county-government/departments-a-i/circuit-clerk/civil-information/probate. It may be in your best interest to get the advice from a Probate attorney to help with the process.
Call the Circuit Clerk's office during office hours at (815)334-4190 so they can look up your case and tell you specifically what is required to satisfy your ticket and get your license reinstated.
I am not sure what form you are referencing, but you would need to schedule a motion to modify your judgment of dissolution in a divorce courtroom, and send notice of the motion and scheduled court date to the other party in your case. You can call the Circuit Clerk at (815)334-4310 and speak to the Civil Division to find an available court date.
Go on site and E-FILE
The Circuit Clerk cannot offer legal advice. You might want to check with an attorney before filing, to make sure you are filing the case in the proper court.
Correct, that would be the Recorder's Office in the County Administration Building, which is across Ware Road from the Courthouse.
Yes, you can bring your insurance card to the Circuit Clerk's office (Room 136) at the McHenry County Government Center and show you current insurance card, which needs to have been in effect at the date and time your ticket was issued. You will need to sign a notarized statement that you had insurance at the time the ticket was issued. The Circuit Clerk can provide a notary. At that point the Circuit Clerk can administratively dismiss your "no proof of insurance" ticket. If you have fleet insurance you will need to go to court on your assigned court date.
This would be a question for the McHenry County Health Department.
