1. Breakfast đŸłđŸ„ starts at 7am(not great selection) 2. Requested room to be cleaned 4 times in 4 days. They never did once. 3. Change room three times because they had no lock hinge from inside. I don't know why. 4. Originally booked me a room that was taken by someone else. Walked into someone else's room. Management needs to correct the issues. Clean đŸ›ïžđŸ›ïž hotel. That's why it gets a two-star!

The hotel wasn’t very clean. I stayed for two days. No one ever cleaned the dirty towels out the pool/spa room. The outside sitting area was never cleaned. A lot of dirty towels sitting outside and on the seats. ALOT OF ANTS EVERYWHERE! as soon as we checked in I saw ants crawling on everything. Also the front desk staff were not friendly. I asked if it would be ok for room service to clean my room in the morning because we had trash that was also bringing more ants around. I was told no because the room service only cleans rooms that people are checking out of. I stayed at plenty of hotels and this was the first I ever heard of that. Also wanted to add for people maybe booking this hotel for the pool. Please don’t. The water was FREEZING. The pool room was FREEZING. IT was 100 degrees this weekend but the ac is on in pool room and the water is not heated. You won’t be able to enjoy the pool especially if you have younger children. And the sight of dirty soaking wet towels laying around everywhere was just gross. Also the refrigerator did not get cold. But the hotel was quiet and the pillows were comfortable.

My husband and I are spending a 3-day weekend in one of the suites at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbia - East Elkridge and just had a very unfortunate interaction with the worker in the kitchen. At 8:45 AM we went out for breakfast and there were no eggs, pork sausage, Cinnabuns, or milk, and the pancake machine bag needed to be changed. That's about 90% of all that they offer for breakfast. The lady came out of the kitchen area to refill the eggs and as she returned we were going to let her know about the pancake machine but before we could finish what were going to say she waved us off and literally slammed the door in our faces. I asvised the front desk clerk and she said she'd speak with her. At 9:00 AM the lady from the kitchen storms to the front desk clerk and yells at her that "customers need to understand that I work alone. No no no - I dont like it!" She storms back to the food area, kicks in the door to the kitchen, and slams it shut again. Each time she came out to replace or refill something she was loudly talking (fussing) to herself, in her language, while slamming and throwing things around. All while many families were still sitting and eating breakfast. We generally don't stay at Holiday Inn's and after this visit, we likely will not stay in one again; more over, we cannot patronize the IHG hotel chain. Temper tantrums, loud colleague confrontations, and being disrespected and devalued as a customer is not an environmental we want to be a part of.

1st and foremost I would like to say that this has nothing to do with the Hotel specifically. It’s all about Corporate Customer Care and their inability to help.   I made a reservation, my wife and I arrived and checked in. I posted this here so that Upper Management is aware that i was satisfied with the location.  All was GOOD,  meaning the staff was pleasant, room clean, check-in was easy.   This was Friday Afternoon.   On Saturday evening I was speaking to the Hotel Desk Person and was questioned if I had a points card.  I responded I may have and they proceeded to call the 800 number for me to question if I had a card or not.  I was given the phone to speak to a representative, I gave my info. to the Rep, the Rep found my information and confirmed with me that I had a registered points account.  15 minutes into the conversation I was getting nowhere and asked to speak to another person.   That person after 20 minutes advised me she found my information but could not give me the Points Card No.   I advised this individual that I am intending to visit this location another 6 -8 times this year and would like the points number. She couldn’t/wouldn't give it to me was her response.  I escalated to another individual and after some yelling and being told that they wouldn’t provide my points number I went ballistic and asked to speak with a supervisor.  Explained my situation to the supervisor that  I would no longer use Holiday Inn as my 1st choice, not recommend to anyone and their inability to satisfy me was also causing a problem for the local owners.   Everyone one in IHG Upper Management is worried about customer service at the front line but no one in the corporate towers is concerned about the service provided by their 1-800 Customer Care Service.  The points card is a series of 9 numbers and it should not have taken an hour of conversation and 3 different people to obtain it.  Why they wouldn't provide it over the phone or email it to me is beyond my wildest dreams. They wouldn’t even give it to the Desk Clerk.  All of you in your Ivory Towers at IHG get your heads out of the sand.  Your customer service team is Sub Par and could care less about the effect they have on the local Hotel.   For customer service I give IHG a Big Fat F and for upper management allowing this to happen to a guest I give another Big Fat F.  You wasted an hour of my time. This experience has just cost IHG my future business.  By the way I chose this location for convenience, was very happy with the environment and was planning on returning frequently to visit family.  I can assure you that I won’t be using IHG again. Remember,  I was just trying to obtain my points number.   By the way the 3rd person was able to provide me with the points number.  She had the common sense to satisfy a customer but it was too late.   Ron Harlos.
