Great little airport. Super cool say to get to. And 10min from Monterey beach/Pier. Car rental facilities on site next to baggage claim. 1 small gift shop and 1 small coffee / snack shop on site. And a little bar. Getting thru security and to your gate takes 2min

Rad little airport with an awesome ocean and runway lookout bar (pre-security) upstairs. No lines, plus super friendly and accommodating staff make this a low key and enjoyable travel experience.

I love this airport. It's small and usually not very busy. There could be more options for food, and the planes that come through here are usually so small, but it comes with the territory I suppose. I've had great experiences here, overall.

At least an.hour before boarding stops. Boarding generally stops 15 minutes before take off
Virus Geeks at the airport IS NOW APPT ONLY and has been pretty backed up where it has taken me 6 days to get my results. I advise going to a rapid test center like the one in front of the Marina Walmart parking lot but they are first come first serve. When they run out of tests it could be at any time of the day. It's only 10 minutes to get your results so I would try morning noon and night on the two days before your flight to get in test results on time. In the meantime you can try virus Geeks 7 days 5 days and 3 days before your flight at the their other locations like the Portola plaza Hotel near the bike rental place which is walk-up service and also at MPC college and also at Hartnell college. Hopefully they will get test results at some point and you can show the airlines also. Good luck.
Yes parking is available. Both Short and Long Term. I believe Long Term is $13.00 per day. I haven't checked rates in a while though.
No... it can connect to Denver, Dallas, Phoenix
There is a COVID testing facility at the airport near long term parking off of Olmsted Rd. It's free and scheduled to remain until the end of the year. It is NOT the rapid test and takes 1-3 business days for results.
Monterey is a small regional airport. Saying this, you'll want to take an Uber since there is no shuttle services.
Opens 4:00 AM until arrival of last flight, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
I agree with Miguel. Everything in Monterey closes early. Getting a Lyft/Uber that late might be tough.
It is a flight operated by Gamblers Express: https://www.gamblersexpress.com/
It's just past the drop off area, follow to the downward hill and you will see your coinciding car rental company signs and park in one of their parking spots. It's literally 20 feet away from last entrance inside of airport.
You're absolutely allowed through security, but you will go through additional screening. You cannot be forced to remove any medical apparatus but there is less screening if you do. Try to wear easy to remove outer garment jackets to remove and no heavy metallic objects. Declare if you have a hip, knee or any other replacement that contains metal. Please remove your cel phone!
You need to go to the airline you flew with and present them with your baggage claim stubs and your luggage will be located.
Go to Montereyairport.com. Under flight details, there will be information for the airlines that serve the airport. Check the airlines and destinations. Purchase tickets on the airlines website.
Monterey Bay Inn, it's just down the road.
Liquid, gel, and paste limited to 100 ml containers in one x 1 qt/lt bag
United, Alaska, Alegient, American and a few charters.
I hope you find it. Good luck!
Peterson, Monterey is located in the United States, ie California.
No jetbridge at MRY commercial terminal gates...which is ok because if there were youd miss the fantastic view of Monterey bay from the tarmac!
Not at present. A company called Gambler's Express out of Carmel Valley, Ca used to charter a flight to Reno...now mostly to Laughlin...check witj them.
It's open regular hours on Sundays
What type of phone are you using?
3.5 hour drive
I only know of United. Wish I knew more
I do believe so.
When you look at every flight from every airline over a year, I believe it is a little below 20% for delayed and cancelled flights for departures. Arrivals sit a closer to 20% or a touch above. That's not just fog related. Personally fog has delayed/cancelled two of the flights I have had out of Monterey and one time coming in. They were either the first flights out or one of the last flights in. Definitely depends on the season. I now never book very early or late flights in/out of Monterey and if I have to I give myself a long layover just in case. Haven't had an issue since.
I fly on American in and out of Monterey.
It's a small airport, arriving an hour before your flight is plenty of time.
45 to an 1 hr drive
About 11 miles away, if you go through the Pacific Grove gate. There are 3 different gates to get into 17 mile drive. One in Pacific Grove, one in Carmel, and one right off of CA HWY 1.
