Haven't been here in over 20 years. Hasn't changed. Still one of my favorites. Love their pizza!

There's something to be said of a place that serves just one type of dish. The beauty of Gil's is you get exactly what it says on the box, pizza. Don't want pizza? Go somewhere else. After reading the good reviews I tried it for the first time today. The store isn't huge or flashy, just a little place that was staffed by one person at the time (I can only assume it was Gil.) It's about the size of a small house, but clean and well organized. Now that those things are out of the way, now it's on to the bread and butter, the food. A 12" pizza is about $10.25 or so, a little more expensive than some other local joints who sometimes offer a 16" for $8-11. However, after trying Gil's I'd take that 12" pizza over other places 16" any day. The crust, cheese, and sauce ratio is perfect. The cheese is a good quality, the sauce is tangy, herby, with a touch of sweet. Very well balanced. I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to pizza crust, but this one really hit all the marks. It has a subtle sweetness, a nice crisp, and a great chew. Very rarely do I eat the crusts, but I was happy to do so with this. I've been hankering for a proper New York style pizza to no avail. Tonight my craving was finally satiated. A beautifully floppy "fold it in half" slice, with quality ingredients, and balanced flavors. I promise if you decide to try out a slice from Gil's, you will be more than satisfied. I'll definitely be stopping by again.

Gil's is my boyfriend's favorite pizza joint. I can't swing it due to a gluten allergy, but he says it's the best. They've been in business since 1958, and my BF remembers getting their pizza as a boy. The pizzas are all one size, 12-inch. They are consistently delicious, never let us down!

Congratulations, first and last time going. Both my daughters got food poisoning. Wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite how unappealing it not only looked but tasted. Literally forced to eat it trying to convince ourselves the taste will get better. Should have known to just ask for refund after opening the box to be greeted by a pizza with down syndrome. And I say it With respect to all other people with down syndrome. Point of the matter , couldn't pay me to come here again and eat this Micky mouse version of pizza, if it can even be considered that. And I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from besides maybe the employees or paid reviews. Stay safe and stay away from Gil's.

My family has been buying pizzas here for nearly 60 years. If you don't order the pizza well done, you have cheese soup. I order my pizza with extra cheese, very well done. That way the cheese is no longer liquid, and the oil that seeps out of the cheese soaks the edges of the crust. You have to order it and get there early so that you can make sure it's well done. Edges end up slightly burned. I'll drive 100 miles on a whim to get it.
