My family has been buying pizzas here for nearly 60 years. If you don't order the pizza well done, you have cheese soup. I order my pizza with extra cheese, very well done. That way the cheese is no longer liquid, and the oil that seeps out of the cheese soaks the edges of the crust. You have to order it and get there early so that you can make sure it's well done. Edges end up slightly burned. I'll drive 100 miles on a whim to get it.
Making the top 10 is an incredible feat but they are my number 2. Unless you want to drive to Chicago.......... They do have a taste all their own..... Awesome!
The pizza"s are excellent and can't be beat. I highly recommended their pizza's. They have a taste like no other.
Their pizza has an excellent blend of cheeses that, if not eaten hot, solidify into a fatty block. It is greasy, fatty pizza. Personally, I enjoy all of it except the crust, which has little flavour and often comes out hard. Very much an old-style pizza. Make sure you have napkins.
We drive from York,PA to get this pizza. Used to live nearby but can’t do without the taste of a Gill’s pizza! Best I’ve ever tasted!
I had this pizza a few days ago. I am completely missing the rave. We.found it very average The advise that is best is the request the pizza well done and keep it to a basic cheese.
Moved to florida 15 yrs ago. We still to this day talk abt gil's being the best ever. Can still test and smell them. The absolute best! !😜🍕🍕🍕
