What a great place, beautiful, clean and well kept, and what a wonderful crew! I booked our shelter (both halfs) for our organization's annual Summer picnic over the phone but dropped the ball and didn't follow up with the contract. So when we arrived the morning of the event, I wasn't positive we were set up! But I reached Clay at the Park office, and he assured me that he had taken care of everything, he accepted payment over the phone so we didn't have to go to the office, and we were good to go. Then a large family showed up and said they had booked half of our shelter. Another call to Clay, he spoke with them over my phone, and they were happily on their way to the correct shelter, saying "What a nice man!" A young man, Bob, came around to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed and gave me a copy of the contract. He was so nice we invited him to join us, but sadly, he and Clay had their duties to attend to. We had a wonderful day at a great spot, and knew we were being well taken care of. I highly recommend this park for events of all sizes, and it's so family friendly as well! Thumbs up!!!

Fee of $5 to get in. The showers/restrooms in the swimming area are closed. Restrooms in the picknic area are nice.

Running water at covered rented area. Room to run with kiddos and great play ground. Staff who where on site were friendly, helpful and super busy keeping the park beautiful.

Update: the lake was closed to swimming too. While the parking is free today the splash park is wrapped up and completely turned off. So there’s plenty of grass to walk around in and lovely nature to see plenty of fruit trees planted, but no splash park we’re gonna try the lake will update.

Call the office or speak with any park ranger. The grey shorted staff is very helpful!
There is a fee to get into park ($5 for cars, $8 for rvs) and then beach inside inside is free
Children under 5 are not allowed to swim in the lake (ecoli problems). They have a great splash pad (best in metro) that runs from 11am to 7pm when temp is above 70 degrees (May 28 - Sept 2). This is where you want to take the kids. Its at the far end of the park, just keep to the right and keep going.
They are crazy strict down there
Yes. But I would bring a seat cover or something. Lol
Yes
You can’t bring your own boat in the summer.
Special access state park pass works too as long as its valid.
I think there are paths around and in the park that as a walker you can enter anywhere for free. You could be dropped off at any path along the main road there. I've seen people walking their dogs on those paths and I'm sure they haven't paid to get in. It is still $5.00 per car to park.
If You have a bigger group, I would recommend reserving something. If it's just one family you can find something probably without reservations. Also, weekends are busier at Blue Lake.
Personal watercraft (boats, kayaks, paddle boards) are not allowed. HOA residents of the lake road may launch.
There are three. One by the lake, one on the east end of the park and one in the middle by the Multnomah covered area.
The swim beach is closed until further notice.
Bring ur own tools and utensils, wire rack charcoal outdoor grills, camp style
No
This is just a Q&A page answered by other Google users. You can try calling the Blue Lake business office on Monday to see if they can answer your question.
Yes there's life vests. I was just there on Sunday
Im not sure.... I dont see why not Im at work rite now.. ...get ya' swim on what dey gonna say no? ....might be nippy..
No. And the swimming area is very restrictive and small.
Hi nope outlets inside the Lake the outlets stores is located in Troutdale highway 84 exit 17
It's open from memorial to labor day. 70 degrees and up. For the splash pad
You can do it online or you can go to the office that is in the park too
Yes, no entry or parking fee if you arrive on a bike, no need to wait in the entry line either
You can check with the usgs for the tualatin river to get a more accurate estimate. But I would guess low 50's.
I don't know your daughter, but if she enjoys playing outside, then yes.
Five dollars per hour per person. Season starts the first weekend in May and goes thru the end of September
Its open though would be too cold to swim without wetsuit or drysuit. Off the cuff, I suspect water temperature is in low-mid 50s today.
Service animals are. Otherwise dogs are not allowed
I think large covered areas you need to reserve.
Smoking in Oregon State Parks is allowed only in your vehicles and personal camping units, campsites and portions of day use parks designated as safety rest areas. Smoking is not allowed in any park building, including yurts and cabins. Smoking is allowed on the ocean shore; however Oregon State Parks is asking anyone who smokes on the ocean shore to properly dispose of their cigarette butts and any other litter.
There are campgrounds in the area, but adjacent to the docking area.
I follow Blue Lake on Fishbrains. A 23 in trout was caught today and smaller ones in the last week. Sure, after the spring stocking fishing will be better.
There is not archery at the blue lake park. There is at the Chinook landing boat launch just down Marine drive to the east.
The lake is stocked with trout. You need a fishing license.
From October through April, you can use only a private fishing boat with horsepower less than 3.0 and shorter than 14 feet (17 feet for canoes and kayaks) for the purpose of angling only. Private watercraft, such as recreational boats and paddleboards, are not allowed on the lake anytime during the year.
There is swimming in a certain area of the lake that they have blocked off. They also have a splash pad.
Recommend your bring a grill brush to make sure you start without someone else's gunk on your food
Yes, but not sure if they have them to rent.
