If You have a bigger group, I would recommend reserving something. If it's just one family you can find something probably without reservations. Also, weekends are busier at Blue Lake.
If you want a specific picnic area you can reserve it. So no one can get it.
You do not have to reserve, there are spaces you can reserve but there is a space with a barbecue that is free and first come first serve, so you would want to come very early to make sure you that you have a spot. The reserved areas I believe are $50.
You do have to reserve at bule lake you could also call them to reserve
I think you don't need to do any reservation because there is many of bbq place's over there, enjoy ✌
