Once in the consulate, they are helpful and cordial. However, finding out information about requisites for documents, to get there prepare is a nightmare. I didn't try to call, but it seems that they don't have enough personnel to be handling calls. The website I believe is handled from Colombia, so good luck finding anything. July 2022: to get passport: you need: Old passport, or lost/stolen report if you don't have it Cédula Money order for the amount in the website: right now $89usd If you want them to mail it to you: bring a Priority Mail envelope plus $10 in stamps. Hopefully this helps others come prepare at least for the passport.

Good luck trying to get some one on the line.

If they answered a phone call that would be very nice, it’s almost impossible to get someone on the phone. Extremely incompetent

Greatest government-related establishment I have ever dealt with. They were extremely cordial, professional and, above all, they displayed a great deal of patience when dealing with small children that needed Colombian passports. Governments from all over the world should visit this Colombian Consulate to learn how business at their consulates should be conducted. All in all, it was simply a great experience doing business with them. How many people in this world can sincerely say: "It was a great experience doing business with a government office?" I would venture to say only a handful would say so--The Colombian Consulate being one of them. Thank you for your wonderful support. José

I am getting the passport today July 15/22. You need the citizenship card, the passport that has already expired, and a $89 money order. If you lost your passport, you need a loss report. If you do not want to pick up the passport, and you want it to be mailed to you, you also need a USPS priority mail envelope and stamps that add up to a value of $10.
I need to apostille documents
At this time July/22 you do not need an appointment for certain documents such as the passport.
Hi Emerald, can I help you?
No, you can go directly to the consulate with your money order, passport and identity card. Do not take photos, they are taken there. And keep in mind that they close at 1 p.m.
Only in Colombia can you do that.
Mr. Daniel, your procedure was successfully carried out today despite the inconveniences that we presented in the system, we managed to attend all the people who were in the room. We appreciate your understanding.
According to what was stated by the consulate official, it takes 2 weeks and they send it to the residence address, if you live in San Francisco you can pick it up right there, but it takes 2 weeks the same time.
Not all the services provided by the consulate need to be scheduled.

Search the Internet for the consulate page and contact the consulate by email
Currently, you do not need a covid test or quarantine to travel to Colombia from the United States.
If you have a US passport, you do Not need a Colombian Visa to go there. US citizens are allowed to go to Colombia for 90 days. But you need a passport.
You can download an application called my consulate, there you follow the steps it is super easy
Yes, for any procedure you must make an appointment online.
I also did the same process, but they called me from the consulate and told me that there are problems with the system, until another year they can make appointments again or there is an update in mid-November and we have to be pending.
I have no idea but the network is easy to enter. Congratulations!
you have to send an email they answer you and give you an appointment, it was fast, and if they are working but only by appointment
Of course, in Colombia all people from another country are welcome, have the same rights as a Colombian and only apply to any job profile in my country and you will be accepted if you pass the filters of the application, also in Colombia good ideas are welcome, Entrepreneurs and creative people.
Its a consulate, so no one can live there
You do not need a visa if you are going as a tourist.
On the consulate website there is a 24-hour attention chat, there they give you the exact information, the procedures that you can do and the document that you must carry
To go from the United States to Colombia you don't need
It's fast, but I do not have the exact data, it's best to approach. But the procedures are not delayed
I would call the consulate and find out from them directly. If you live close I would go down there and find out or I recommend you try calling right when they open at 8am and someone may answer right away. Otherwise plan on calling repetitively until they pick up the phone. I called 14 times once until someone finally answered.
Not without an appointment you pay 20 dollars for each perniso and you buy in the 7 eleven and it is not delayed the perniso is maximum for the children to leave 3 months
You need to have their birth certificates apostaled and translated, and you need a copy of your schedula, and then passport photos for each of them. Then there is just some paperwork.
They asked that we bring in standard 2"x2" passport photos when we applied for citizenship.
No appointment is required. They are open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

At the consulate you can notarize the power of attorney. Now I advise you to consult a lawyer to write the power of attorney.
I understand that the one in your country will serve you for a month. As long as you are a tourist.
The Consulate does not apostille foreign documents, the Secretary of State does

If you can go to the Consulate it would be better. There they will give you the correct information. They are very nice.
It depends on when you became a citizen of the United States. If it was before the year 90 no but if it was after yes
