I moved down from New Jersey in search of an apartment that had a central location and great amenities. I had to look no further than Varela to provide everything I had been looking for. 15 minutes from downtown, 8 minutes from the airport, and roughly 30-40 minutes from some of Florida’s best beaches. Moving to Varela has helped me make the transition seamless and has provided me a great community of friends. I use most of the amenities like the pool, hot and cold tub, sauna, gym, and the barista bar (shout out to Jessi!). The staff here are all super friendly from the front office- Jeremy, Kamilah, Courtney, Quyen, to Diana and her mother who keep the building clean, and Jon, Victor and Freddy who always help with maintenance around the building. If you are looking for community, amenities, and a central location in Tampa, look no further than Varela!

The amenities here are amazing. The workers in the leasing office who I had talked to were all super nice and helpful for the most part. Tracie was an amazing leasing agent! My only complaint is the noise. I had an extremely loud upstairs neighbor with 2 dogs who barked constantly. And she would come home at 3am sometimes and it would sound like she was throwing a party. Not sure how 1 (sometimes 2) people could make that much noise. The leasing office wasn’t super helpful with that situation, but they did their best I believe. I ended up staying at one of my friends’ place for pretty much the whole last month of my lease because I just couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t hear my neighbors on the sides of me, so that was nice. With that being said, everything else about the place was amazing. I was just unlucky and got a loud upstairs neighbor. I personally think the pricing is a little high, but that’s Florida for you now. Overall I would recommend this place because the amenities are awesome; I loved doing yoga with Adrienne, the pools were super nice, etc.

I relocated back to Tampa and have always been curious about the Varela. After reviewing their website, seeing the online pictures/videos, reviewing online social media posts, and speaking with the staff, I signed the lease, site unseen. This is atypical of me, but their response time and virtual tours sold me. To my relief, I was not disappointed! The property and its amenities are impressive. Never touched a golf club once, but I see the onsite sports simulator in my future. The site is clean, luxurious, and reminiscent of a boutique hotel. They have the largest dog park I have ever seen in a private community. 2 pools, large gym, game room, a complimentary barista, and many more perks to explore. They just need a Publix onsite and you never have to leave home (but many malls, groceries within 2-3 miles). I look forward to settling in and making the Varela my home.

Varela has been such an incredible apartment complex! The amenities are luxurious and always well-kept, there’s free coffee made by a barista in the mornings, and great neighbors (many of whom have become friends of mine). The staff puts in a lot of effort to set up community events at least three times a month, each of which are a ton of fun. The entire leasing process has been such a breeze thanks to Kamilah. She has helped my boyfriend and me from the first steps of taking our tour and is still eager to help months into us living here. This was my first experience with a leasing office that was stress-free and pleasant. Tracy and every other staff member are also incredible and exhibit nothing less than true professionalism. One day after a big storm, our power went out and shut off our AC unit late at night. We called the emergency hotline and within 30 minutes someone was at our apartment helping us. With a close proximity to downtown, the airport, and shopping malls, Varela is truly the place to live!
