My mother has lived there for 16 years, she has no electricity because colony Cove is claiming that she needs to re-pair an electrical pole that they installed before she moved there and it’s their property. my mom does not own the property and they do not care that she has had no electricity for three days no air-conditioning can’t cook can’t use her breathing machine! Colony Cove should be ashamed of themselves for treating an 80-year-old woman this way! The Equipment on her electrical pole is illegal she didn’t put it there colony cove did. They obviously do not care about their residents!

This is a friendly & active community of some of the nicest people I have ever met from all walks of life from literally around the world. The community is well kept, has 24 courtesy patrol and so very much to do including live entertainment & bus trips to many local attractions. The monthly newspaper has a calendar of events chock full of things to do or just sit along the waterfront or at the 5 pools & watch the world go by. A private gated Marina with access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Manatee River that the community borders on is the crowning glory. The Marina fees are a fraction of what a public Marina would cost! While the rent is a little higher than some other parks it is well worth the extra expense.

Have live here for one year. First thoughts...we loved it. Best part are our neighbors. Worst is the office and management. They have rules that are ridiculous, such as you are not allowed to ever park on the street. So, your friends can't come visit, worse, if you need a visiting nurse or work done on your house, they aren't allowed to park in the street. Security drives by and tickets them. Management acts like they are God. Except the rules don't apply to everyone. Find another place to live.

70 pounds or less..no agressive breeds so you can't buy any chiuahuaus...they are mean
It depends on what side u live on an if your by the water or not we are not by the water an it is 680 a month an there really strict get the rules first before u move in here.
My Florida Dreams are excellent source for rentals
Not loving there yet sorry
Yup , a nice one when its not raining , gets a little moist round there. Beautiful when it dries up.
There are roughly 100+ clubs, the Friendly Social Club is the hub of all activities in the Cove. Saturday morning coffee ( 8:00AM ) is where you can become acclimated to what there is to do in the Cove.
You would have to ask at the office. A certain percentage of people over 45 are eligible.
Yes there's a lot of big trucks and a lot of big dogs here I know this cuz I live here
There are resources in your prospectus. You can ask on Facebook Colony Cove Referrals
No we pay a monthly lot rent.
I am sure that they have plenty of places here for rent and you would be very happy to be here I have been here for almost 5 years now I am an owner and I am very happy with them and Colony Cove
You may contact me through instant message on here. Thank you
I own a house here for four years now and I love where I live as far as parking is concerned you can park in someone's driveway I fit up to three cars in mine but after night it must be in the property because it was on the streets it will get towed
No... Don't come here, management sucks
I don't know how much lot fees are. I do not live there, only visited. You may be able to find that info on their website. They also have homes for sale on their website.
No they don't it's still a 55+ community
It depends on the lot average is probably around 800
That is the water, sewage, garbage, and taxes added onto your base lot rent. So when they tell you everything is included, it is included, but it is included in what you will be paying.
Not much...Because of the virus scare the amenities are restricted right now but things should improve after the reelection in November.
What a rip off lol 😂 900.00 lot rent lol you’re crazy to pay that lol
You should check with you HOA, if rules are being properly addressed. And specify which rules you have concerned with. A former HOA President (of a different community.)
We have about 2200 properties and about 1.5 people per home so that comes out to roughly 3000. But we have a large snowbird population so it's nearer to 1500 in summer.
You all three would be accepted. Hope to see you there
HOA is $20.00 per year. The South ( of 301 ) part is not gated. The North part is open access at the Fire House but all other entrances are gated.
Actually Janice whatever they wish to charge you. I've lived in Colony Cove for 10 years approximately 5 years ago Equity Lifestyles took over Colony Cove since then our rents have increased tremendously our amenities have decreased tremendously. Equity Lifestyles properties owns properties all over the United States they have a history of going in putting as many new homes so that on paper they will look like it's a very wealthy Park when in fact the infrastructure of the park is not able to handle the amount of homes that they have established in the community. If you go to rip off report Els. Com you will see reports from all over the country including ours and the complaints that are unsatisfied the money that the owners of homes have lost and the refusal of the property managers to cooperate with the residents..in short the rents vary from one property to another between $733.00 - and well over $900.00. Amenities are sparse. Thanks for inquiring as I hope to save u from disaster.
Golf carts are not allowed on US 301 North. Both FHP and the Manatee Sheriff do a "friendly survailance" and don't always stop golf carts. But, keep in mind, it still is not legal.
Do you mean owning and paying lot or renting a place and the amount of time you can stay ?
There is a Colony Cove: Referrals for repairs & services group on Facebook. It's closed but you can join and ask on their site. Should be no problem to hook you up with someone to help
That depends on company and what u cover for
Another reason is the relatively high lot rental price... $700-$1000 a month. However, you get quite a bit for the price. 5 pools, lawn, water garbage and recycle and many many affordable events and extras.
They get a pass from the office to park. There is room in our driveway but I believe the halls are available.
Always due on the first and you have 5 days is the max after that you have to pay $100 penalty
Yes
Absolutely NOT, don't believe anyone who tells you yes. And it will go up from what the current owners are paying for the rest of the year and then go up again in January
Separate. But ELS owns Colony Cove and the back part of Ridgewood. They do not have the same manager!
Yes
$10.00 per year. The office will have contact information for the.HOA board members. It is your best interest to join, since the HOA is your representative to the Manager and the owners ELS.
Yes if you own it you can pay to move it but you or previous owner will probably have to continue to pay lot rent
I am a recent widow closer to Myakka City. I might need to downsize and downprice. I have always liked to look of Colony Cove. However, my job is closer to SR70. Is there any complex similar to yours around my area?
Yes good selection 15,000 to 150,000.lot rent from 650 to 1200.
Just around the corner from the sales office. Turn left at the stop sign.
Sometimes they do, you'll have to fill out an application. If you are buying one of their new houses they certainly will! It's all about the money!
I am not sure what or where Ellenton Hall is.
Pets allowed. Says there is restriction but there are larger dogs. You can rent first.
I do believe there is
