I've lived in Colony Cove for 10 years approximately 5 years ago Equity Lifestyles took over Colony Cove since then our rents have increased tremendously our amenities have decreased tremendously. Equity Lifestyles properties owns properties all over the United States they have a history of going in putting as many new homes so that on paper they will look like it's a very wealthy Park when in fact the infrastructure of the park is not able to handle the amount of homes that they have established in the community. If you go to rip off report Els. Com you will see reports from all over the country including ours and the complaints that are unsatisfied the money that the owners of homes have lost and the refusal of the property managers to cooperate with the residents..in short the rents vary from one property to another between $733.00 - and well over $900.00. There are about a dozen rent bases. Average is about $800 non lakes and $1000 for lakes. That includes rent, taxes, water, sewer, trash&recycle pick-up. Rent, taxes and water usually change each year.
