Do not take your bike on the escalator

Montgomery Station is a dual transit station for both Bart & Muni (SFMTA). From my perspective, the station feels safe and easily accessible.

Highly congested Bart stop. If you can avoid using this station during peak times, I highly recommend using a different stop. Escalators have been broken for a few days with no sign of progress. Especially on high volume times when a lot of workers commute to and from work, it adds a huge delay. Only 1 escalator going up, and people have to queue to go down the stairs to the platform. Unfortunately, commuters are forced to take it and just accept how inefficient it is - constantly increasing prices but reflect very little improvements and very little concern for paying passengers/commuters. Edited: Situation has improved during COVID times with less people commuting to and from work. No longer congested, and the escalators have been fixed. It does feel like a different city and a much different Bart station feel now that it’s so empty compared to pre-pandemic times.

The 18 bus doesn't go into Downtown, I would recommend taking the 38 or 38R bus on Market Street to Geary / 33rd and transfer to the 18 bus there to get up to the Legion of Honor.
Walk straight down 2nd street.
Montgomery Station is not an Amtrak stop. Embarcadero station (Salesforce Center) is the closest Amtrak stop.
#14 mission.
Montgomery. Walk 1 block up Post.
Just take the yellow line from Embarcadero to Orinda.
Most elevators and escalators are broken. Outdated and run down system thats expensive and dangerous.
4 hours on a typical day cuz BART sucksssss
In August 2017, some evening I crossed golden gate walking to the other side and from there at 9 pm I got an Uber for $20 to Montgomery station.
Not the new arena. You can walk. They have 1 bus thats very iffy on time schedules. They had a tram but torn that out. Best bet dont go to any games. If you do its a 45 min walk from BARF to new arena.
Yep, one of the exits puts you right on Sutter.
