My wife was there less than 24 hours. Dirty and it smells. Asked for ice pack and didn't have one. Needed pain medicine and they said they dont any. Coffee cold and asked to.warm it up. They looked at me dumbfounded. State of Delaware should be ashamed of this place.

I went to Churchman's Village to deliver food for a nurse. After successfully giving the nurse her food I kindly asked her to let me out the locked main door. She rudely replied "No, that's not my job" leaving me locked inside the establishment for a good 5 minutes until another staff member came along to let me out. This rude and unprofessional behavior resulted in my being late to my next delivery. I would NEVER place a loved one in a place where they employ such rude and disrespectful staff. I would leave 0 stars if possible.

Awful place. I made the mistake of sending my dad here for rehab. There was little communication about his progress when he was there for a month and a half. I would go visit him and he would have dirty blankets on him. We would page the nurses station and it would take forever for someone to respond. Some of the staff are very nice like the PTs and a few CNAs/Nurses but some are very rude and give an attitude when you ask for something. My dad did not like being there and I didnt like him being there either. I told them that my dad didnt like eating meat and wanted more fish and veggies in his diet. His preferences were at the top of his meal sheet everyday. What did he get almost every meal? Meat that he won't eat. The meals that came never matched what was printed on the sheet. They also discharged him randomly even though the director said insurance would let them know 48 hours in advance of a discharge. I did not think he was ready but brought him home anyway. 3 days later after returning home his foot was infected (why he was in rehab). So I had to rush him to the ER and he is now admitted again for the infection. They are looking to discharge him soon and I told him he can go to any rehab just NOT churchman village. The place is very dirty too. I feel bad for the residents and rehab patients there. Many times I walked in the hallways to see my dad and there is spilled applesauce on the floor just chilling there where someone can slip and fall. This place needs to be shut down and redone.
