The employees at this consulate are knowledgeable, empathetic and professional. They helped our family with an emergency passport and were very effective with our time. Highly recommend.

I had my passport stolen sadly in San Fran. The staff at this embassy where very pleasant and easy to deal with. I had to get an emergency passport to travel home. This is an all day exercise and the patience is required , however the office will do their best to accomodate everyone.

I needed an emergency passport replacement to travel in two days, and I also needed to get a visa chop in that passport before leaving. Ken was genial as he described the process, and I felt that he made every effort to make sure that I was able to get the passport in time for getting my visa, even though official timelines would have it that it would not be possible to do. I really appreciate the work ethic of the staff here. NOTE: when entering, report to the security desk in the lobby, and tell the guard that you want to visit the Australian consulate. He'll sign you in, escort you to the elevator, and use a pass to allow getting off on the correct floor. Turn left when exiting the elevator.

I had a very poor experience with the Australian consulate in San Francisco. Incredibly inefficient, lazy (but competent) office staff. My only goal was to book a mandatory appointment to request a new passport (I am a student here). PROBLEMS - Phone maze takes literally 5 minutes to get to what you want (I timed it after the fourth time I selected the wrong number!) - Nobody ever answers the phone once it finally directs you to a real person - When I finally got to speak to someone on my 4th call after 3 weeks, the guy decides to argue with me, "we actually get those complaints a lot, so I checked by calling for myself and the system definitely works" GOOD THINGS - The office itself is in a fancy building in San Francisco, so while you're waiting at the front desk for someone to show up, you'll have a glimpse of their view.

AUD $20, around US $15 https://www.eta.homeaffairs.gov.au/ETAS3/etas
I filed a the Australian Passport Renewal Application (PC7) for adult renewals. Info @ https://usa.embassy.gov.au/passport-documents-required
Here's a link to the Australian government Visa application options: https://www.australia.gov.au/information-and-services/immigration-and-visas/short-term-visas
You can email them and they are very quick to respond to your enquiries.
If you're white you should be fine, otherwise, it's off to Manus island for you!
Depends on your home country. For the US you just need an electronic travel authority which you can get online https://www.eta.homeaffairs.gov.au/ETAS3/etas. There's several other countries that are also valid but for other countries you'll need to come to SF to the consulate. I don't think they take your fingerprints but they might.
ATO website is probably your best bet.

No you do not. If you just google "tourist driving in australia" it would be pretty clear. Also, pretty sure that 1. the Consulate does not deal with this type of query and 2. they do not look at Google Maps questions about their building.
The Consulate does not check or answer questions posted here on Google Maps... If you want actual help from them, contact them by phone or email - https://usa.embassy.gov.au/san-francisco or better yet look for the application form on the website yourself. Google Map questions should not be requests for Consular assistance. Would you try to place an order at a restaurant by asking on Google Maps questions? No. Would you ask about how to check in, is there parking, is there a restroom, etc? Yes Not to mention "application form" is extremely vague - is it for a visa? What type? Or is it for a passport? Is it for a renewal or a new one? Or is it something else altogether? Utterly unanswerable question.
The Consulate does not answer questions on visas (which is written on their website). (Also do you really expect them to answer you on a Google Maps question? These should be questions about the Consulate itself.) https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/applying-online-or-on-paper/on-paper
No you can't apply at the Consulate. Visas and citizenship: Please visit the Department of Home Affairs website or call the Global Service Centre in Australia on +61 2 6196 0196. The Consulate-General is unable to provide information on visas, immigration, customs or citizenship. (https://usa.embassy.gov.au/san-francisco). Online lodgement is preferred. There is never a line at the consulate, i would just go in and ask if youre nearby
The travel VISA is good for one year from the date you apply. It is in your record. No need prove.
They don't do visas there. You has to apply online and allow 30 days for processing
I got mine in about 8 days
How could you have an Australian visa if you are a citizen? If you have an Australian passport then yes you need to enter Australia on the Australian passport.
Im sorry, not sure, try calling the Australian consulate to be sure.
I would think so. But don't ask Google, ask the embassy.
