Tenant United's phone system is horrible. It is designed to only take messages , which then, one gets the feeling they will end up in a Black Hole somewhere in the cosmos. I believe, one does not get the feeling that human communication is important at this alleged office. The machine recorder , with it rapidly spewing out countless categories that few people really understand, leaves one wondering if one is ever going to get real help from a real person. You get the immediate feeling that getting help is an elusive thing here. Today Consumers have to often contend with poorly and sloppy designed software systems and robots. Consumers are getting fed up with this dehumanizing situation. Humanity in the workplace is becoming fast extinct or finished . God help us here on Earth with poorly designed machines taking over all aspects of our lives !

We as tenants need a new small claim courts law rights to taking landlord's and owners to small claims court in the town, city, states where they came here from where ever and brought properties. Rights to take landlord's to court where their own that properties at.....not where they live in another town, state, county or across the world. It's not right to any tenants.

I had tried to ask them for help or advice regarding issues with my landlord. I got a curt and rude run around to which in our email I finally said if they couldn't help me just tell me instead of asking me to reiterate the original question or make me feel bad for having the gall to contact them, they did not reply to that email and that was several weeks ago at this point.

The office has recently relocated and changed the way they operate- before you would call and someone would answer and help you or you could leave a message and get a call back shortly after, now you have to call and leave a message first and even if you have an associates direct extension they never answer. Takes more than 24 hours to get a call back even if you just missed their call. This new "system" is frustrating, especially when you are a tenant waiting to make a move and want to get information regarding your legal rights. When you do talk with an associate they are wonderful, but I have been playing phone tag since Monday and have not talked to anyone yet...... ****UPDATED 7/5/17***** Just want to update, I STILL have yet to speak to one of these reps (first called Monday June 19th). You leave messages telling them the best time to contact you and they CONSTANTLY call the opposite times IF they even call you back, it is like they are doing it on purpose so they do not have to deal with you. Very disappointing especially as a tenant in crisis.

I think a landlord can increase your rent to what they want you got to remember landlords moved to Albany and other towns and raised the rent to NYC prices and landlords from Albany raised rent too best thing you can do is to go to united tenants they moved from orange St they are now on jay st near the end corner they will definitely help you and explain all tenant rights
Every winter I'm going days with no heat and section 8 approve this apartment with a room with no heat system in that room. I send the landlord a certified days noticed and he never accepted my certified letter to a P. O. Box which I as a tenant know we should know landlord home address and permanent address to send our 30 days notices and take them to court for our security deposit which there should be a new law for landlord to be taking to small claims courts in the states, city where they own properties, not in their home town out of states or no state at all....we rent from him in this state where he own properties and we should be able to take that landlord or owner to court where the property is being rent and own by that properties owner. We as tenants need a new tenant law right to take landlord's to court in city where they own properties not in God know where they lives......
No. Landlords are not allowed to do that. Please contact law enforcement and report him as soon as possible. Be sure to get the badge numbers of the officers that come out and log what was done. If your water is not cut back on, please call our hotline at 518-436-8997 x3
Ask him once or twice to replace the floor before somebody gets hurt walking over that floor if he doesn't do that then I would contact code enforcements on Henry Johnson boulevard right next door to stewards and and they're going to force them to fix it
You should call united tenants and speak to the they will able to find out why its so high or may be able to redirect you to where you can get that information
Well if it's month to month and your there till the end of the month yes. And your security will take a minute before you get it back and you didn't destroy the house
You only pay for water if it isnt included in rent and or if you renting to own a house usually the landlord covers the water bill from portions of the rent their charging
If you live in Albany they have walk-ins on Tuesdays and Thursday's and be on the safe side just call and make sure then again I just went to to get help and they send me to three different people so nobody helped me so they might do the same to you but it might be different so just go check it out
No he has to take you to court before anything and at that time if the judge wants to he can order you to pay lawyer fees but your landlord has to take you to court before he can do anything first she's got to give you a 3 day notice if you're not out in 3 days then he has to start Court proceedings and then the judge issues a 30 day ordering for you to be out within 30 days if you're not out in 30 days then the sheriff's will come and put you out
Depends on what the lease says
