It took a bit to get a legal aid to accept my unemployment case but once they found me someone for it everything turned out great, he was awesome. Anything I didn’t understand he broke it down for me to understand, he helped me appeal my unemployment case & thanks to him I won. I recommend them, they are very helpful

Extremely rude person answering the phone. And the only way to speak with a supervisor is to have them send you a grievance form in the mail. This is not ideal for people who need help.

The worst experience I ever encountered. After dealing with a bankruptcy with them for 3 yrs with no results I had to fire them. Very unprofessional..non courteous.... especially when it comes to Sean Moran. He should be disbarred. Find another place for help. A real total waste of my time.... Update: I had to go through the Legal Project Program and got the help. I was assigned to Christian Dribusch out of East Greenbush and got it resolved in 2 - 3 months. Legal Project is per bono. I hope this will help you find a quicker alternative with a professional attitude.

What a joke! (Including the one for Schenectady county!) Every time we have ever needed their help, they always helped the landlords instead. Even with rent receipts as proof of payment, they still didn’t help us. The landlord asked us to pay in cash. Then when they wouldn’t give us receipts and claimed we weren’t paying, we started using money orders. We showed all of this to them and they said they’d help. Time for court, they side with the landlords and bail on us. Then we’d see them laughing it up with the landlords. When we called for help another time, they said fill out this paperwork and then call back. When it was time for court, they said they can’t help because they don’t have anyone that can come out. But then failed to give us proper legal advice on how to defend ourselves! They’re a big reason why these slumlords are winning in court. If they aren’t going to actually help, then they shouldn’t be working for legal aid. *Customer service sucks too! I called just to ask a question and she wanted to know what our income was. I asked if I could use the calculator quickly and she told me no because she had “a lot of callers”. I told her it would only take a second. She told me to call back later. So I had to be on hold for the 3rd time in one day because she didn’t want to wait for what literally took me 10 seconds to do. What if I had grab my crying newborn? No compassion in these people at all.

I'm not sure if I can help but I can tell you to call them to see what can be done
Yes
Legal aid can help with multiple issues give them a call direct .
Yes if the lease is in your name and they are not on it you can have them removed. Although if they have been staying there for more than a month, have mail coming to that residence or can prove they have been staying there for said period of time, you will have to have them legally evicted. It can be a process , but can be done. Talk to your landlord because he/she will have to serve the eviction, given you don't own it. On the other hand, that might make the process easier because technically you are the only one that is supposed to be living there.
Income qualify questions will answer that..call them.. they're there to help
If your warranty is still in play and they wont fix it call corporate. Otherwise call legal aid and see if theres anything they can help with but i dont believe they deal with these types of issues. I think corporate would be a great start. Thats what i had to do just last year because of my dealership playing games.
I can't answer that question but call legal aid and ask for eileen.
Talk to your local social security administration about it ,if they overpaid you for 15 years and didn't correct it in the first payment 15 years ago then it is them that is fought keep researching it you should not have to pay there mistake back.
You can call them and ask them these types of questions
Yes
I don't know but I'm sure that you can
No we do not
That would be a question for Town Hall.
Sorry but I dnt know the answer to your question.
Yes. Give them a call and ask them exactly what you have to do.
If you are behind on rent or he owes fines on the property. You should call Legal Aid. You need your eviction notice and all your receipts for rent payment.
