Generally my visit overall was pretty good. When I arrived I was not guided to the front desk but just told to wait instead of finding out why I was there. But eventually I was taken in and had all tests done pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The final interview with the heart surgeon was really good and she handled my concerns regarding the upcoming procedure for me.

Laura Hadden 1164 Fayetteville Dr. Springhill, FL 34609 May 19, 2022 My name is Laura Hadden and I was a patient of HCA Bayonet point hospital on two occasions. My first was for an ablation surgery that took place on May 12, 2022 in the cardio vascular department and performed by Dr. Annoni. The staff was extremely helpful, kind and caring. Mark, who was my recovery nurse, went above and beyond to make me comfortable, and did all he could to make my recovery seamless. My second occasion at your hospital was several days later May 18, 2022 when I had to visit the ER due to some serious pain The ER was incredibly busy and the afternoon staff did all they could to move things along. As the evening progressed a new staff came on and this completely changed the dynamics of the ER. After waiting many long hours we were told that our loved ones could no longer wait with us due to lack of seats. However at this time the seating capacity was only half full and there were plenty of available seats. I do appreciate that the patient’s needs are priority, but when I asked if my loved one could stand, I was told by a very young and self-important lady that if there was a problem she would call security. I was only merely asking a question. My husband did leave. If this was the only issue I certainly would not be wasting time putting this letter together. The areas in which is truly concerning is the attitude that was displayed by a PA Juan Valladares and Head Nurse Christine . Through the crazy day, and the ER can be very overwhelming, certain patients no longer decided to wait. I know this can be frustrating to the staff, but to hear the head nurse yell out multiple times that these people were “wasting her time” and storming around was a bit unprofessional. What really became the clincher in all this was the fact that AFTER Resident Dr. Jake Lubak (who worked with me at the ER for several hours) had prescribed me a 3 day prescription of Hydrocodone/acetaminophen for pain, was then removed by PA Juan Valladares. I was in incredible pain when I came in to the ER (the entire reason I came) and was fearful it may return. We were unsure where this pain came from, but I assure you it was bad enough to make me spend 9 plus hours in the ER. If you notice anything about me and all my medical history, I have very rarely ever used pain meds, other than Tylenol. I have worked closely with the book author and producer Beth Macy in regards to the abuse of prescription drug in both her book and Hulu series Dopesick. I also worked very closely with the Shenandoah County police department (Virginia) as well community meetings and the school board superintendent in the area and was a HUGE spokesperson again addiction. I am also the parent of a son who overdosed and passed away 8 years ago. I found it truly condescending, judgmental, and insulting that this man treated me as if I was someone just looking for drugs. There are times when pain meds are needed and for someone (who I literally saw for 10 minutes) to take it upon themselves to remove the prescription written by the DR. who had more knowledge about my situation was just arrogant and ignorant. I understand trying to work with keeping people from abusing these medications, but not at the cost of making someone who legitimately needs them suffer. My last point is that when I was finally released 9.5 hours later, in my paper work I was also given the release form of another patient. I am sure with all the Hipa laws that this is something that should not be happening. I know I would not want someone to have my information. This issue may want to be addressed as well. I am sorry to say that if I am ever in need of and ER situation I would not use this hospital again. I do believe that it is in desperate need of some changes and proper leadership! Thank you for your time, Laura Hadden

Outpatient/ same day surgery I had an outpatient procedure today, my experience was great from the time I walked in to discharge. My procedure was scheduled for 8:30 and I was in OR at 8:00. The team in OR was personable and put me at ease. I have to give an extra kudos and THANK YOU to RN Karen and RN Sophia. They work in preop and both are wonderful nurses. I had more interaction with Karen, she prepped me. It is refreshing to have medical care from staff that 'cares'. They were very short staffed and you wouldn't have known it. Thank you all.

Visited a sick friend and saw this hospital for the first time. This facility is clean and the staff are really nice. It’s a little confusing to navigate inside though.

Spend twenty minutes in the ER with these people, they work like clocks, as a team are thorough considerate and caring, compassionate, yet still find a moment to be reassuring to family.
Wow, I didn't see that at all. They have been kind understanding and extremely attentive, at least in the Cardiac Surgical Critical Care Unit.
I was in er for breathing problem, two words earth angels.
I had an excellent experience at this facility!
Yes they do.
Marisol is right!!! CVS will take your old meds
Your son is in ICU and you employer needs a note ? That's crazy. But talk to a nurse or the ICU Doctor. I might also advise looking for a new job. If they think you would make up a story like that well, I wouldn't want to work there. Prayers for your son and hugs
If they have an infectious disease or something that is contagious.
Try exedrine. If not go in an ask for an mri
Yesss..they helped us
There is a visitor lot directly across from the emergency entrance next to the helicopter pad.

There is no age. Check with nursing staff. Some things are not ment for kidd to see.
I want to say 8 to 8 but they are very accommodating for people who work different shift hours. After hours you need to be screened through the er.
Yes...he definitely was practicing at the hospital in November, 2018 when I was admitted! He is a great Doctor!

12 hour shifts are the norm at most every hospital now days. What about trying a clinic or Doctors office or out pt. Surgery center?
Just my opinion, but I want ALL my copies of all records, due to chronic illness. At least you will have knowledge of what has been done and results
Might be from blood thiners
I wouldn't take a stray cat to this hospital
