The staff is caring, and absolutely amazing! They go out of their way to help and I have never felt such comfort from a facility. My fiancé is in there and the food is excellent he actually eats it so you know it is good. I would never think twice about putting a loved one in there. I cannot say enough to give them all the stars of goodness more than 5 stars!

Let me begin by saying, that I would not put my dog in this center. The staff is uncaring and they are actually rude to the patients. I am not a family member nor am I a patient; I am a visitor of a friend. In my opinion, this place should be closed down. It is filthy, and proper rehab treatment is not provided. It is sad that such an institution can exist in our world today, and so many turn a blind eye to the unfit conditions that our elderly have to endure. Shame on the staff, and on any physician that refers patients to this facility.

My mother was admitted to Solaris June 2021 for rehab after a stroke and hospital care. The premises was to provide physical therapy 1x per day in addition to around the clock care, as she was initially completely bed ridden. The room was acceptable, the food lacked quality, lacked decent preparation, lacked awareness of dietary needs and flavor. A family member took her meals so she wouldn't have to pick through the disgusting mess. In fairness, my mom liked a few of the breakfasts. The nurse care was hit or miss -- Solaris is woefully understaffed. Even the most caring healthcare professional is required to do the job of multiple other's, so time to care for patients is lacking. An example (out of many): during the night my mother needed to use the restroom & called for assistance, which NEVER came. She ended up trying to get to the bathroom with the help of the patient sharing her room (who was there for a shattered hip). It was a complete fiasco and was the last straw for us to remove her from this dangerous situation. The PT which was required to work with her daily didn't work with my mom until she had been there for two days. So out of 5 days, she had exactly 2 PT sessions.

After removing my 95 year old father from another nearby facility, I spent two days visiting several facilities before deciding on Solaris for the continued care my dad needed. It was a Holiday weekend and the administration offices were closed. The nursing staff had no issue with showing me around totally unannounced. Obviously I liked what I saw. I have spent over a week in the area while my dad has been here, and many hours in the facility each day. The admissions office followed up with me by phone on a Saturday. The entire team at Solaris from nurses to aides to food service and therapy all are great. They seem to have a general caring attitude and always a smile. My dad is eating so he likes the food. The charge nurse Doris has been so informative and helpful with any questions I have had. Nobody really wants their loved one in rehabilitation- but, I know they care about my dad and I am happy I have him here as we prepare together for our next steps.
