Wonderful place to visit. Linville Falls is easy and well maintained trail for whole family. Right trail from visitor center has well maintained trail to three overlooks. Left trail from visitor center is also well maintained but going to bottom of Linville River last 0.4 miles is challenging with a lot uneven rocks/ boulders and down trees on the trail. This trail gives nice view of Linville Falls looking from Linville River. Visitor center stuff very friendly and knowledgeable. On Sunday ranger in the front of visitor center had display of beaver and otter.

A nice place to go see some waterfalls on gravel trails. However these falls seem pretty popular, I would suggest to get here early. It was pretty frustrating trying to park with multiple stalls open for regular vehicles but people wanting to park "closer" were parking in RV/Bus parking so those of us with oversized vehicles had to ask people to move. If yall can't walk from the parking lot to the falls and have to park closer to save you a few steps then you have no business hiking in at all! Overall besides my rant, a nice easy hike to some falls for free and able to bring your pets.

Beautiful. Nestled between the mountains, it's a beauty. You may have to trek a bit to reach the right place, but once there, it's just amazing! Spend some time there and if possible, get under the falling water, it's serene.

Absolute beautiful hike! About a half mile to the first view of the falls, the walk was fairly easy. I do have a bad knee, so I will say there is a bit of an incline to and from, but nothing terrible. We visited a day after some pretty heavy rain, but the path was only muddy in a few spots, easily passible. We did not continue to the upper overlooks, our puppy was a bit tired so we headed back. Overall a great day trip for those experienced hikers, and those of us who are not! Just be advised, you cannot see the falls unless you walk, and it is not handicap accessible.

Ouch. A public offering like that sure deserves notice! Beautiful area.
They are closed for the winter. I would suggest you go to the nps website for the latest information.
That is the only place to park to access the falls
The area is closed, but accessible.
Heavy rain in the last few weeks has caused safety concerns. That is all
There are 3 overlooks. I think the first one is .3 or .4 miles maybe? And then the other 2 are about .4 beyond that. So all the way to the top is under a mile if I'm remembering correctly.
