It was the perfect day to visit. It wasnt too crowded and thw tours are scheduled to run perfectly in sync with each other. We were able to walk around and get some great pictures for social media while waiting for the tour to begin. Loved our tour guide...very engaging and informative. Great place to visit

Besides the one hour wait, a great time was had by all! It was a cool place to go on a hot summer day. And we learned something too! But hey, Caverns management, how about losing the "mandatory mask" policy? Either that or provide the masks for your patrons. To charge $1 a mask is kind of a rip... Overall, a good time for the memory album!

This is awesome to see, educational and fun, our guide told us great stories and also facts about the Caverns....highly recommend! But also, be prepared to be a little chilled and get constant cold drips of water....still worth the tour😁 There is also a nice picnic area by a beautiful creek..

Every show cavern is a little different, this one has a fossilized sand dollar in its ceiling and has a stream with trout running through it. Tour guide was awesome. This tour is really inexpensive but not as big as some of the caverns along Blue Ridge Parkway.

30-45 minutes depending on group questions asked. Took my daughter for her 11th birthday and we all loved it. Be sure to wear (light) rain coats & have a head covering, especially after a big storm.
Great place. I have been there several times over the last 30 years.
Yes. I took a 2 year old and 10 month old this last time. First time I went I had a newborn. You can not bring in strollers, so make sure your 4 year old brings tennis shoes that grip well in slick conditions. Same for your 2 year old if they will be walking. Also, it's a little chilly in there and water drips from the ceiling. I'd recommend pants and a light waterproof jacket with a hood.
When we went they sold tickets at the caverns for same day tours. Our tour started 15 minutes after we arrived. Availability is really based on the crowds they have a any specific time. The one thing i suggest you check is to see if they have scheduled group tours at the same time you want to go. After our tour there was a bus of kids from a camp which made it immediately crowded.
Linville Falls, hiking. Little Switzerland, shopping, food. Blue Ridge Parkway, senic views.
The caverns are much larger, however most are inaccessible due to hazards and excavation is ecology impossible.
Its the mountains they keep it simple. Just go... its cheap and totally worth it!!!!
Admission is $9.00 per adult, $8.00 per senior age 62+, $7.00 per child age 5-12, & children 4 & under are free.
Yes, you can take dogs on the trails to the Falls. But you cannot take them onto the caverns 😀
