Hillcrest Millard gets a 5 Star Rating from our family regarding the care and rehabilitation of our cousin, Susan. She could barely walk when she arrived and had difficulty meeting her personal needs. After a few weeks, she is a new person and has transfered to her new home able to care for herself. The staff was caring, knowledgeable and skilled. The Physical and Occupational Therapists were skilled and compassionate and got the results from Sue that she needed. They changed her life. We will be forever grateful for their care and rehabilitation of our cousin.

The facility is beautiful and there are a few staff who go above and beyond but not enough to make up for what they are lacking. My mom has been a patient for almost a week and the care is just worsening. They take over an hour to respond to call button and to give meds, lack of attention to patients and we had a meeting with dietician,so isl worker,pt and OT due to dietary concerns (my sister and I have been providing meals with protein) they are doing a supplement but other than that suggested we provide food since my mom has dietary restrictions. They also recommended she call the main number of nurses don't answer call button after 10 minutes and front desk told her to calm down someone will help her. Almost an hour later I called on her behalf and 15 minutes later they took her medicine to her. Very disappointed in the care being provided. She has also only had one bath and it is supposed to be 3x a week. I do not recommend this facility and we can't wait until our mom is released, sadly I don't think many other rehabs in the area are better though.

Would not recommend under any circumstances that your loved ones be placed at Hillcrest Millard. This is not a safe nor sanitary place for the elderly or anyone with a disability. If patient is unable to care for self, oral & personal hygiene will be totally ignored unless family steps in.

COMPLETELY NEGLIGENT CARE! I have a family member at this facility and the level of "care" provided is atrocious! Earlier this week, while visiting my family member, I witnessed her verbally order a chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Not only did the order take over an hour to deliver... there was no chicken salad in the sandwich. It was just bread!! Someone please explain how this is possible??? When we asked the kitchen to explain... they simply said, "Well, she must have scooped that part out." Really? There was zero evidence of that on completely dry toast. During this same day, my family member was not served or even offered breakfast. She was completely ignored until about 11am with no care or check in. Since checking my family member into this facility, the staff agreed that due to my family member's age and fragility, a lift device would be needed to move her into and out of bed. I've caught the staff on THREE separate occasions move my family member without this lift device... it was 1-3 people attempting to move her. As a result of this negligence, my family member's foot was broken. And then, due to the break, the staff placed a boot on her foot. ON THE COMPLETELY WRONG FOOT! Even the physical therapist noticed this error immediately... and started to laugh! I suppose the break and discoloration near the break weren't clear enough indicators of a serious enough injury for a basic foot brace/boot??? We have photographic, video, and documented evidence of gross negligence, malpractice, and general lack of care and WILL be looking into lawsuits. Your family WILL die here if you check them in here. I cannot fathom what condition my family member would be if my family and I weren't there on a near daily basis actually providing some level of care.

While we are certified for Medicaid, we are a short-term postacute rehabilitation facility, and Medicaid does not pay for that (Medicare does). If you are looking for Medicaid long-term care, we recommend Hillcrest Shadow Lake in Papillon.
Thank you for your question. Post-acute care facilities and nursing homes are both licensed as skilled nursing facilities (SNF) so technically yes, but nearly 100% of our accommodations are dedicated to rehab services. A limited number of long-term care accommodations may be available. For more information please contact Hillcrest Millard or call me at 402.708.7915. -Jim J, VP of Customer Navigation
