I wouldn’t put a dog in that place I’ve heard other residents complain about their loved ones being left and by the leaf fluids for hours which happened to my mother she was only there one week and it happened to her twice three years ago my mother-in-law was in there they stalled her debit cards her jewelry and cash out of her wallet today they stole my mothers deodorant and hangers they are absolutely ridiculous they should be put in jail for what they do to the elderly be aware don’t put your love ones in there

Today is the second anniversary of my mother's death. She was in that despicable place for rehab. She became too weak to exercise any longer so she became bedridden. When the pain became unbearable when was given morphine. For ungodly reason they would not let her go home until I said she was coming home. Long story short and it's a horrible story. She came home on a Wed. Fri she went to sleep and passed away Monday. I honestly believe this place had a hand in her death. Now.. My brother is in there. Tested pos for covid on Friday, has not been tested since or seen a doctor in over a week. They are making him leave without a test or any care of other lives that he has to go home to! On top of that like others have said. You need to bring your own food and water. Never ever would I even suggest my worse enemy go to this place!!

I was certainly surprised because yes I read the reviews too but I can't say enough about this rehab , the workers were so courteous and caring for my mom and unlike most nursing homes there was not a ammonia smell when you walked in and the rooms were nice and clean , the food was hot when it arrived at my mom's room ,not really what I would eat but very edible. I feel the rehab could have done a little more exercises.

The first and only time I will leave a review. My mother passed away at this facility today. The cause of death is unknown because she was recovering from surgery and starting therapy to get her strength back. I don’t know who to blame but from the time she spent at Oak Hill until today something went wrong. She was fine one week ago when I saw her. This place you have to make an appointment to go see your loved one which could take weeks. So who knows what type of treatment she was on. Visited the facility and it’s more Covid test stricken than OaK Hill. I didn't get no sympathy for my mom who died under their care. Just come see her, pick a funeral home and get her out of here is what it felt like all while another patient was in the same room getting her food. If I had a choice I wouldn’t of let my mother come here to die. This review is only from a few hours of visiting and not what I had in mind.

Yes. Skilled nursing (or nursing home) centers have a full calendar of activities and social events for residents, including art classes, ice cream socials, bingo and game night, prayer service, movie night and much more!
Your length of stay is determined by many factors: your physical condition, any underlying medical conditions, your previous level of independence and where you will go after discharge.
Among others, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Physical therapy (PT) examines, evaluates and treats patients with various disorders including musculoskeletal conditions, heart conditions, neurological disorders, wounds, and more. A PT also recommends devices that will assist the patient with function and mobility. Occupational therapy (OT) examines, evaluates and treats patients to afford them improved function in the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs). An OT might train a patient to use medical or adaptive equipment, provide splint fabrication, or perform neuromuscular re-education. OT also includes cognitive retraining associated with ADLs and safety, energy conservation techniques, and sensory deficit compression techniques. Speech therapy evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of communication, cognition and language. Sometimes, swallow studies allow for objective assessment of the swallowing function.
The cost of skilled nursing varies depending on where you live, what level of care is provided and what type of accommodations you choose. Most seniors do not usually meet their long-term care needs from any one source. Instead a combination of support private funds, long-term care insurance and government assistance is used to cover the costs. Medicare covers post-hospital, short-term skilled care only and may not cover the cost of ongoing nursing home care. For low-income seniors who meet eligibility requirements, Medicaid might pay a portion of the cost.
Check with the center you are considering and ask them about pet policies. Some centers have pets on site or offer pet therapy that all of the residents can enjoy and interact with.
Skilled nursing centers are designed to provide specialized care individuals who have health conditions that require constant monitoring and availability of medical personnel. Skilled nursing centers, also known as nursing homes, provide 24-hour clinical supervision, meals, activities and health management support for their residents.
