PLEASE READ TAKE 2 MINUTES!!!!! Hate, despise, cringe at the thought of going to one.. I woke from surgery confused, in pain, disoriented, and at that moment I thought I was dead or about to be. Why? Three staff hovering over me gently explaining where I was and I was OK. I cannot explain the gratitude, moreover the genuine confusion, how this hospital operates. I am guessing that over my 50+ years I have visited 20 hospitals give or take. I have experience, I have something to base my opinions on.. EVERY SINGLE PERSON ( nurse, doctors, civilians, etc,) was UNNATURALLY kind and genuinely courteous! Read my reviews, they are few and far in between. Maybe today is my lucky, blessed, one timer, day. This hospital is absolutely undeniably the best hospital I have ever been to in my life. As long as I live in the area I don’t care if I have to drive hours I will never go to another hospital. End of story. I am just knocked off my feet, My God even the food is really good.. I don’t know maybe I I really didn’t get through the surgery LOL LOL KIDDING.. GO THERE IF YOU NEED TREATMENT!!!

I just had my baby at Oak Hill and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredible. I cannot express how thankful I am to have delivered here. The L&D unit was full but you would never know. I never had to wait when I called a nurse and everyone was attentive and kind. We had to spend my husband's birthday in the hospital but the staff made it special. They sent us cake and some souvenir mugs and a birthday card. It was so sweet. Our baby was in the NICU for a couple of days and the staff was incredible up there as well. I have no complaints about our experience. I highly recommend delivering at this hospital.

Nursing staff was very good, but there performance was overshadowed but u responsive doctors! Arrived Wednesday evening with stoke symptoms and was admitted for tests and observations. Execution. Of MRI and others tests was very efficient. Thankful they were all negative and the technicians and nursing staff were great. Spent 28+ hours for a doctor to respond to numerous requests for information. We will not use this hospital again. I appreciate Oak Hill's response I but I have tried twice to contact them during the hours they provided and received no answer or answering machine!

I recently moved to Florida and my 1st trip to any hospital. I cannot say enough about the care this staff had for me. ( iassume everyone is treated the same) From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and concern for why I was there. The nurses were all fabulous and Dr Matt is the bomb!! I wished I could have him for my primary Dr. so caring and explained everything to us. His Momma must be very proud of him...Thanks again to Oak Hill ER staff for their very caring and concerning care for their patients.

If you are worried call the emergency room and get their advice, they could give you the advice you need
No I would say they're going to recommend you go to a dentist
Hello Carol; it is in the South Tower.
You should call the emergency room and ask
Call, Ask a Nurse (Triage Nurse in ER)
Hi Barbara: Please enter through entrance C, the four-story medical office building, and proceed straight to the registration desk. You will complete registration and the Speech Therapist will meet you there for your scheduled appointment. Thank you!
Shauna, we do provide colonoscopy services. Thank you for your question.
There are plenty of parking spaces. There is a golf cart shuttle that will take you to any entrance.
Pre-testing is located at the Main Entrance, North Tower building. Once you arrive on campus, drive straight to the end of the road. Make a right. The North Tower is on your right and parking is on your left.
Probably 8 or 9 but if you have the number you should call
Guess it would depend on which department that person worked in.
Average wait time is usually 3 to 10 minutes depending on scope of emergency
It does vary, but usually fairly prompt. Longest I've seen is 14 minutes and as short as three. https://oakhillhospital.com/about/legal/er-wait-times.dot
Thank you for your question! Mickey Smith is the CEO of Oak Hill Hospital.

Hi Taylor: Yes, Oak Hill Hospital is a teaching hospital for nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, doctors, and more.
Yes. But USF has specialists that are excellent depends on which part of your spine.
Yes; The Positive Pulse Cafe is located on the first floor of the South Tower.
I don't know, but I'll tell you the staff are the greatest..I had triple stint procedure and was very pleased with their professionalism.
If you need a service animal and it is registered as one and you can show it is up to date on it's shots and such they should not be able to stop it.
Yes. The hospital has unsecured wifi if you choose it.
I believe that you can but it would depend how many people are trying to stay
Yes you can be treated. If you need emergency surgery they will do it .
I am not sure. I would call the help desk for that information
There are no set visiting hours for ICU. This is from their website "Family and friends are encouraged to visit their loved ones whenever our patients wish and visitation is available 24/7. Specific visitation plans may be determined by the nurse manager. We ask that visitors be limited to two per patient. Children under 12 years of age and accompanied by an adult are permitted to visit at the discretion of the Charge RN. For more information, please contact the patient's nurse."
Yes they do according to the list of insurance companies/ plans they accept.
No
Depends on the room. Just call main line and they'll assist you
You would have to call and talk to HR or Administration about that

Also since pt is listed as privacy, will need to go thru nurse or dr to be aloud in...pt might not want people around in his condition...I work in medical field and that's our policy..hope this helps
It depends on the unit you are admitted to. In the maternity suites, breakfast was served between 8:00a-9:00a, Lunch 11:00a-1:00p, Dinner 4:00p-6:00p. Times vary depending on the amount of patients they have admitted and how many staff members are working.
I do in my garage... But I'm pretty sure if you call your insurance provider they will guide you to somebody that does or to Oak Hill Hospital
As long as you park in the back part of the lot and are conscientious of others parked around you, you should be fine.
As long as you don't visit the emergency room they treat and street barely diagnosed but follow up calls are excellent
yes
The er sees all persons regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
No
Yes absolutely!
Not that I'm aware of, but I know Dr William Jason is an orthopedic surgeon, he operated on me and did a marvelous job, prior to him operating I was unable to walk the day after my surgery was the first day that I truly walked without Assistance or pain in over 2 years. I'm pretty sure that he does do arms and shoulders so possibly he does do hands I would certainly call him he is definitely worth every penny
Yes, any were you go
From what we did when one of our family members were in the hospital we called the actual hospitals number and then you say what the room number is and they usually connect you!
Through admissions
Shut up Devin Clifton it's none of your business for any of these people go 2 all you want to do is pitch and run your stupid face keep it up you'll be the one in the ER
IS. IS. IS
Very short but the bill well, your probably gonna need to go inti your life savings with how much they will milk you here. If you have to use get in and get out quickly as you can because they will milk that clock for all its worth
I don't believe it is
I don't know, but if you call the hospital they would be able to tell you or transfer your call.
Results? Usually through the attending doctor. Unless you want to see previous records. Call medical records and ask for copies
