I love this place , many pretty colors, plants and flowers even the houses alongside the canal with their colors patio sets of chairs . It's nice and quiet for a walk with your dog and kids. They filmed the movie Valentines Day here I remember Ashton Kutcher on that bridge heartbroken ๐. It's a nice stop and stretch your leg from driving along the PACIFIC coast of California. I highly recommend . Venice Beach is at the end of the canal . โค๏ธ ๐ ๐ โฃ๏ธ

The Venice canal are some the most interesting place to know at the Los Angeles city. This area of Los Angeles have a lot of houses in small places, most of them near to those canals, with walks between them and the houses. Many of them are beautiful and stylish, with beautiful flower gardens, hottubs, barbecue grills etc. Over the canals also have beautiful bridges with arch forms, for use of cars and people. Certainly it is a good place to go, use spare times and enjoy it. I recommend it.

Very nice and cozy spot. Quiet and peaceful. It has a little sidewalk to walk around and enjoy the scenery especially while jogging. this is really nice area to live in with a few minutes walk to the beach. However, I lowkey feel bad that this is also part of someones backyard.

The canals are a hidden gem. I've been here a couple of times and never see people walking around. It is a beautiful place to see in person as well as to take pictures. There are so many good spots. A plus is that it's free. The only bad thing is the parking, you're lucky if you find one on the stree, you really have to look for it or park in a parking lot.

Not a place to picnic. Actually a residential area for a nice walk.
No, the canoes that are there are private property. If you convince one of the home owners, they could possibly let you rent one. Or you bring your own
Not that I'm aware of. It's a residential area, and though many of the people who live there have boats, I'm unaware of a rental outlet. Also, I believe the canal district is better seen from shore. The sidewalks and bridges are right next to the sites whereas the water is so low you wouldn't be seeing anything interesting, just water.
Yeah i agree it's only good if you're going for a walk
Its a cool lil neighborhood with old school true venice feel, you can park on the streets for free if you can find a spot and walk to the local restaurants and the beach....its like what venice used to be and hasn't gotten all gentrified....its awesome
No ride available. But free to walk around. It's residential area so you need to be quiet.
Hi. Last March we paid 80 euros and we were 3 people. If you share it, it divides and some walk up to 6 people. Time 30/40 minutes.
No, they dont have boat rentals. Only the people who live on the canals have docks and ride their boats around. It's a great walk though! Gorgeous homes.
I'd say it's nicer in the daytime.
The canals are basically public streets (several square blocks) that people walk through. The perimeter are normal public streets that you can park on temporarily (not overnight without permit). Any parking spot in the canal district is just as advantageous to accessing the canal as any other spot. I don't believe there are handicap designated spaces, just as there aren't on regular streets where you live. Hopefully that makes sense.
I Google mapped did and parked in the $5 parking lot right across the street but there is free parking all around on the street if you can find parking its such a pain
It's a great question but as far as what I saw was people live there and they have their own Kayaks and boats parked in the front. I am not sure outsiders will be allowed. Also because of pandemic you cant go down and walk along the canals because streets r too narrow for social distance. On my recent visit we parked 3 blocks down and just walked over the 3 bridges and enjoyed the view
If it is a public street where anyone can walk at any time
I don't think there is a number
Yes very much so, but it is very expensive!
You can park on nearby streets... But it is tough on Saturdays and Sundays
Yes you can , make sure residents arent bothered
Anywhere. You basically are going to make a loop so it doesnt matter where
Some people do ride their bikes along the canals, but it is not allowed. We saw a security guard kick some people out because they were riding their bikes there. Unfortunately, the paths are narrow and bike riding is dangerous to pedestrians. It's best to stick to the Venice Beach boardwalk if you want to ride your bike.
The nearest parking would be the Venice Beach Pier and the cost is $4
Mostly sightseeing unless you bring a skateboard or rollerskates. You can rent bikes and/or rollerblades. My husband and I just enjoy people watching and walking.
It will fill up again. Don't worry ๐
I'd suggest one of the bridges on the longest canal.
