Some people do ride their bikes along the canals, but it is not allowed. We saw a security guard kick some people out because they were riding their bikes there. Unfortunately, the paths are narrow and bike riding is dangerous to pedestrians. It's best to stick to the Venice Beach boardwalk if you want to ride your bike.

There are signs posted in the canals saying no bikes or scooters in the canals, you can bike around the perimeter though.

The paths are barely wide enough for a bike, so it's best not considering there may be other people walking as well.

Yes, but the walkways are a bit narrow. So you may have some difficulty passing others. I saw several people and even a police officer biking around.
