I found them after looking for anyone who would treat my 8 week old piglet who, without surgery, would have died. They were closed, but accommodated me on the weekend, waited for us to arrive, even after we encountered hours of delays, and treated us with compassion, integrity and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process from start to finish. They left no stone unturned and, in all honesty, I've never met any group of doctors, even those dealing with humans, who have provided me with such understanding and information, multiple options for her care without passing judgement based on my decision. They saved my little girl and I would recommend this place to ANYONE, ANYTIME. They have my eternal gratitude!

My dog had emergency surgery on 5/6/22 for a severe herniated disk. WSU is an excellent veterinary hospital. Dr Bagheri in the neurology dept performed the surgery. Communications were excellent and I was kept informed every step of the way from exam to MRI to surgery to recovery. I believe Dr Bagheri saved my dogs life. I would recommend WSU to anyone wanting the best possible care for their pet.

The staff was very professional and friendly. They went to great lengths to ensure my cat was comfortable and had a pleasant experience with the visit. Would highly recommend.

This place was wonderful and we’re very lucky to have them in our state. Our pup needed a balloon valvoplasty due to severe pulmonic stenosis. Our med student Peter and his team assigned to our dog was communicative, empathetic, knowledgeable, and best of all successful. Thank you so much for taking care of our pup!

I know that Dr. frasson introduced it a while back, in fact there was an article published on July 10th of 2017 in the WSU insider that talks about it. I'd give them a call but it looks like they at the very least used to offer it!
They let us pay in advance. Good people, Great care for our dog.

Our program does work with injured deer on a case-by-case basis, especially if the mother is dead and the fawn is injured. When dealing with injured wildlife it is best to call the nearest wildlife rehabilitator https://wdfw.wa.gov/species-habitats/living/injured-wildlife/rehabilitation/find or our Exotics and Wildlife Service at (509) 335-0711.
Absolutely! Please call 509-335-0711 and ask for the surgery coordinator. They will be able to answer your questions.
We are sorry to hear your dog has suffered such an injury. Our fees are all on par with what is charged in the private sector. Our hospital provides a Good Samaritan Fund for owners in hard times to apply for funding for their animal (website here). Please understand though, the surgery must be done here and the awards are typically less than $1,000 in all cases.
We are sorry to hear your pet is having medical issues. Having never seen your pet, we cannot offer medical opinions online. In order to determine the best care for your animal, it would be best to contact our hospital directly and set up an appointment with our veterinarians. You can reach the front desk at (509) 335-0711.
We do not employ a board-certified ophthalmologist however we can examine eyes that are injured or irritated during a routine examination.
Blood transfusions are a safe and routine procedure that we do at our hospital.
We are sorry to hear about this quail but grateful that you found it and are providing care. Such cases are taken on a case by case basis and it is best to call (509) 335-0711 and ask to speak to the Exotics and Wildlife Section to see how they may assist.

Poisonous snakes are a serious concern when they invade your property. You will be best served by calling your state’s wildlife agency and following their recommendations as this is not a veterinary medical problem.
The WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers a full slate of small animal reproductive services including spaying or neutering. Leptospirosis is a potentially serious and reportable animal disease in Washington. It can infect both humans and animals. It can be passed from pets to people, too. In Washington State, between zero to five cases of leptospirosis infections are reported each year. Most infections are due to recreational water exposure in Washington or during travel. Up to date information on the disease’s occurrence can be found on the Washington Department of Health website.
