Loved it! It's like stepping back in time. Lots of old style buildings. Old railway station with beautiful ticket office. A couple of vintage trains. Delta King paddlesteamer also worth a look.

Great place to spend time with family. The Delta King Ship Hotel was beautiful to view at night. At the same time somehow it looks creepy. Feeling like a walk on the Titanic. The Ferrys Wheel is functional and it did not take much time to wait on the queue line. We would definitely go back here on a sunny day to experience more wonderful views. Beware a lot a pot smokers aroundπππ

Great shops, Places to eat. There was a merry go round and a ferris wheel for the kids. You can take a river cruise on the Sacramento River and a train ride. There is a railroad museum and other historical museums. Lots of old buildings. Street musicians on every street. Can get very hot, check the weather before going. Some restaurants require reservations. Bathrooms are relatively clean Good family outing.

Beautiful place to walk and spend time along the Sacramento River. You can walk along the river and sometimes spot some river otters. It is really nice to visit the Delta King, which is a historic river boat located on the Sacramento River, which has been converted to a hotel and restaurant with a theater. You can walk to the other side of the boat and get some amazing views. The history is rich, the shopping is fun, and don't forget to visit the California Railroad Museum. You will be blown away!

The Capitol building does. In Old Sac, only by the Railroad Museum, which is still under renovation.
Yes it is open.. But very few stores in old Sacramento are open.. Still a great time to spend with family down there
Some stores and Restaurants. The museums will be closed for holiday. There is still alot of history to see on waterfront. Fanny Anne's is a historic al establishment. The Delta King Riverboat is docked there and doors are usually open for tours. There is an old schoolhouse down near the FAMOUSLY photgraghed golden bridge. You can walk on it and see up and down the Sacramento River. The Rio City Cafe had a deck overlooking the River as does Joes Crabshack.
There's a place place near wheel my son got great hamburger. I ate at Joe's Crab shack. We got to go but Joe's has spots over looking river
Check out California Fats great food and I believe they have a banquet room
Absolutely
The Amtrak station to Old Sacramento is fairly close depending on your mobility issues.... you may want to inquire with that station because for seniors they probably would provide mobile transportation!
Great idea to preserve the history Of the country
so many cool shops to look at..places to eat..candy stores....also great show at christmas to go see
The one that Joshua said
You can walk around it at all hours but the businesses close at normal hours.
Unsure, the pandemic has caused this place to be underfrequented.
No fishing in Old Sac. Watt Ave Access allows fishing.. Very pretty there. Take 50 towards Tahoe, Exit Watt North.
No it is cancelled Folsom and Rancho Cordova have drive in fireworks show

You'll be fine. Like the gentleman said. If someone is with you. Have a great time.
For an infection that was in the water. They still do not find the focus.
Can't help...I'm now in San Antonio
Like everyone else has said, the train museum is great for kids because its interactive and the little ones can touch and learn at the same time. Adults will love it too. The old shops right across the street are fun too because they are historic and look it. Any kiddo with an imagination will love feeling like they've time traveled.
It's free and I parked in the garage, it was only a few dollars.
That I don't. I probably guess about 9am. I would get there about 9am just to make sure you got a good parking space. Hope that helps. Have fun!!
Yes, they have permit parking.
Get there before 6pm otherwise you won't find seating.
I go here for halloween every year.. So fun. Also its always great for kids lots of stuff for kids to do.
