If I can, I would give it 0 star. My experience completely confirms other low ratings for this consulate. I have interaction with them via email and phone call. I received an "automatic" email reply a few days after I sent an inquiry email. All it says was to go to their website to check information, which I already did and still have questions. No rely after this "automatic" email. So I decided to call them. I called at 9am on Monday, right when they open and I was the the second in line. I waited for 30 minutes and eventually got connected to a lady. She asked me to "just listen carefully" and did not give me a chance to ask questions. She even gave me wrong information saying that I may belong to San Francisco district. Before I can ask any questions, she hang up. After 30 minutes of waiting time? What a joke!!! I emailed San Francisco office and got a reply within a few hours. They confirmed that I should apply in Los Angeles. The SF office seems to be very efficient and professional. I really hoped that I can go to San Francisco to apply for my tourist visa.

I applied for an Italian national study visa as I am studying abroad in the fall! My overall experience was great despite their being a delay in the return of my passport and a misplacement of my documents. I know others do not have the best experience so I thought I'd offer some tips. Tips: NO UPS ENVELOPES!!!! If you need anything mailed back to you from the consulate (e.g passports, visas) only use a FedEx or USPS envelope as UPS does not service the building and you will risk losing your documents Check the booking system everyday at 3pm for open appointments! Come over-prepared to your appointment with copies of your original documents and the required documents listed for you to present at your appointment. You can even write a letter about why you want to visit their country. The more organized the BETTER If you run into any problems, you have to be as persistent as possible! Call and email as much as you can and have HOPE Be nice and patient, everyone at the consulate is understanding and wants the best for you but they have a lot on their plate and are only human! Masks were still required at the consulate and no phones are allowed to be on

Terrible public service. The website is unclear and confusing. When you call during their very limited hour for information, you go on a loop waiting for hours and eventually hangs up. If you reach the operator they tell you to go on the website and hangs up. To book an appointment you need a hack. Emails produce no response. Realize we are not your customers. You are supposed to provide service.

I NEVER write reviews, but this was genuinely the worst experience. I called, and was on hold of almost an hour, which is totally understandable. However, when this woman answered, I asked what paperwork I needed for dual citizenship. She asked where I was from and when she found out it wasn't in her jurisdiction she literally talked over me and hung up???? SO RUDE! Super unnecessary, especially since I wasn't being rude (I got a total of ten words in). You guys should really work on your customer service. Terrible.

I have American Green card and travel document so do I need a visa to visit Italy ??
Visa application, proof from the school, proof of accommodation, proof of financial independence, current passport, proof of flight there and returning. 60$ money order.
An appointment is necessary to do any business with them since COVID
While I am unable to answer your question, go visit their website and find the email. If you email and they don't respond, email them again within 48hrs until they email.you back.
You should ask at the consulate by sending an email or call. My case is different. My mom's going to become an Italian citizen. Then I'll introduce my papers
watch out. do not post your personal information on a public forum
Refugee in Italy????
what do i do to update my italian pastport for travling vacation
Contact the Consulate they have specific instructions about the verification process. You may need the documents translated into italian.
No ;)
Yes
If you are a US citizen with a US passport you don't need a visa for any European country.
Be sure you're hubby enrolled in AIRE first, the association for italians living abroad, because otherwise you can't book any appointments with the consulate for the passport
Hi Glory, you could Google EU for the Blue Card or Digital Nomad visa as possible ways to live and work in Italy , depending on your line of work
I know, kind of frustrating, right? You can email, they usually reply in 24-72 hours. Check also their website, usually there is everything there.
I don't know how long does it take to get a tourist visa, but definitely you need an appointment. Check the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles website for information.
As of May 11, 2021, yes.
Passport
Write to the city hall of her last residence ("comune" in Italian.)
U can simply call and ask if there's any visa requirement like the equivalent for ESTA for UK and Italians citizen coming into US. Also she is a minor under 18 so is best to double check any requirement.
Yes, you have possibility to have Italian passport but you have made the paper to show your father come from Italy
6 months validity ,but read the Alerts warnings before. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Italy.html
I think they update the page and appointment schedule at 3 PM(PST). You can get lucky if you refresh at that moment. I did mine on Sunday 3:01PM 😊
Nope. Shouldn't be a problem
It all depends on what you go in there for. Legal docs get appts at 11am.
All European citizens belonging to the European Union, except Romania, Bulgaria and the country of the former Yugoslavia, are part of the Schengen treaty.
??, Just Google it
I'm sorry I do not know
Watch online. Their website is in Italian
It is against federal regulations to be in possession of THC products. TSA might cause you some problems. My wife uses CBD for her autoimmune disease. She ordered a CBD only product (which is legal) from an EU based company with distribution facilities in Italy and arranged for delivery to our Italian holiday location. Handled everything on line before we left US. Hope this helps.
You travel whit tonga passaport green card is valid only in usa
write on the consulate's email, what you have to do, since if you travel you always do it with your passport
Take apoitment on web page
If you live in California, you must contact the Italian consulate in Los Angeles
If you US citizen and want travel in all Europe is no necessary Visa, if you want stay more of 3 mount in Italy take appointment
Better you take appointment or write email , but go look this site : vistoperitalia.esteri.it
of course there is no need to wait for the deadline
Angela better write to the email because the phone has a hard time getting back to you. Apart from the payments, follow as indicated to redo your passport and make an appointment
I imagine..
I think you have to do it in the Fast.it portal
You can ask the consulate to check A.I.R.E.for you. Either call or email them.
They need to be recognized as citizens first. Under age 18 is free, but requires certain documentation (their birth certificates, your birth and marriage, etc.) You need to call to make an appointment. Once they have that, then you go online to make their passport appointments.
If you are an Italian citizens you should already have all the documents you need to apply for a passport. Go at the Italian consulate they will take care of you. You can also give question on their website. Usually they answer in 48h
No
It the home of record is California then she has to go to the one closest to home. You have to keep checking for cancellations.
In person, by Appointment
We had to make an appointment, they are very busy and we had to wait about 3 mo for appointment. It is always best to call individual situstion are different. Good luck..
No
Yes.
I'd do it just in case. They are very picky with their documents
I do not believe so, unless Australia requires one. Phone the Consulate to check.
Login with your name and password, click reservations, and when it appears, click on the X to cancel.
Check on their website, Visa page. There is a list of Countries that do not need visas
You should call and follow the guided steps, then check also on the website
