I had the pleasure to meet the consul last week to renew my romanian passport and I must say I was pleasantly surprised of how smooth and easy the whole process went. The consul actually made conversation and was very helpful and nice. Definitely a great experience considering the field of work.

I never ever will come to the terrible place again. they are so rude and disrespectful for people who try to apply for tourism visas. i decide to don’t apply for a visa and they refused to give me my money order back. Shame Shame Shame. what truth you talking about is not of your business to ask me about how i enter to USA and . the truth is United State of American they work better than you to find the truth . Just I know one thing American is welcoming country not like YOU disrespectful . now keep the visa for you i don’t need it.

Outstanding experience! Although I was one hour late for my appointment, the entire staff was very welcoming, extremely helpful, allowed me to get the missing informations by calling Romania, waiting for emails. They did that so that I will not have to rebook the appointment. They went the extra mile with the information I had and explored any way so that I will be resolved on that visit, which happened. Consul Mirela and everyone on the team deserves great appreciation! My response to the negative comments I see on the site: I understand the frustrations, but I did not call, knowing there are only few Consulates left (most likely overloaded with work), so I followed the internet account communication, that was very prompt, and the visit was scheduled surprisingly fast. Thank you everyone at The Consulate in Los Angeles for keeping the very professional and also very caring services, depite the current circumstances !!!

A request for repatriation, to the police, pictures 2 and paid in 2 days of the Passport
What is the question?
Hi, what did you do in the end? You managed to get out of the country with the Romanian passport expired! Or did you travel qualification?
You must register with the Consulate to obtain the Romanian birth certificate!
Information not here. but only at http://losangeles.mae.ro/ - Consular services and www.econsulat.ro.
econsulat.ro
You need an appointment though econsulat.ro I believe is the website
If you talk about the American passport you do not have to go to the US Embassy in Romania. Try here https: //travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html ... If vb of the Romanian passport can be done at the consulate
As much as you want you are a Romanian citizen
In the Internet Is this www.ecounsulat.ro address. fati an appointment there and entrepreneur., very simple.
econsulat.ro
Call the info office at the La sectia consular in the internet you find the telephone number.!
You must make an appointment online.
Contact information at: http://losangeles.mae.ro/contact
https://losangeles.mae.ro/node/435 From the official information for both types of passports it is necessary to move after application confirmation and rigorous programming.
You can count on econsulat.ro and then you can schedule.
I would recommend contacting the consulate directly by email http://losangeles.mae.ro/contact
Yes. I was in a similar situation back in 2009.I couldn't renew the Romanian Passport at our L.A.Consulate because I supposed to go back to Romania, recognize my divorce from here abd my new marriage certificate from here in a Romanian Court then will be possible to apply for a new passport on my new name. So, because of that I was given a Travel Letter from the Romanian Consulate in L A..I was senr downstairs where is a photographer. It is a little expensive but is ok.In an hour pictures were ready so they were able to make the travel letter for me.That is your temporary passport until you arrive in Romania.I had to stop in Munich .Nobody at LAX Airport or in Munich ever had a problem neither at mynarrival at Otopeni International Airport. So, you should be fine.Yes,I did walk in because I was living far and the Consul and his staff were very nice.I didn't know anybody personally and they helped me get everything in time.I don't know who is now the Consul and what is going on now in ther
You will have to renew it when it expires, the expiration date is on the passport and once set to release it does not change with the change of legislation.
Any notary here of Romanian origin who knows the laws here and in the country can help. He makes a procuration by the notary and then sends you to put a seal is called. I went somewhere on Temple Street to the Governor Office. you will be at a Notar. In Orange County is a very serious and overwhelming notary: Lili Haj B & C Tax in Tustin, Orange County, California. Please leave a message for Lili Haj and will call you back. I do not have her number anymore and I would not put it here on the blog. There are also other Romanian notaries but she - made a proxy.
Hello, yes ,you need appointment. For appointments just online, you have to send all the required documents online.
I do not know. You must make an appointment at the consulate, but a lot of information can be found on the consulate's website. Luck!
This is not a means of providing consular information. For consular information use http://losangeles.mae.ro/. Thanks for your cooperation.
No, I'm in Romania for a month with US passport.
