This park seems to be a very well kept park. There are good fishing spots, some cool little cabins you can reserve and it looks like a great place to go RVing. There are some good trails but you could finish them all within three hours.

Very nice well maintained state park. Perfect to getaway, relax, enjoy the natural beauty. Water surrounds connected finger like sections of land covered by grass and trees. There are easy hiking trails to explore, fun playgrounds for the kids, nice picnic areas to eat at, surprisingly clean bathrooms, and many nice camp sites for RVs, tents, and cabins The shallow lake is well suited for small boats, kayaks and canoe's. While you technically can swim or fish in the merky water, I'd avoid it because it has runoff with fertilizer, pesticides and manure from nearby farms. As with all state parks, at the entrance you must buy either a day pass ($8) or present your state wide season pass.

We stayed in cabin 6 right next to the lake. Beautiful spot and pretty good fishing!

First time here yesterday with my wife and two young boys....6-10-20. we had a nice spacious and fairly secluded spot for our tent site 112 . Wish I would of brought my kayak to enjoy all the various lakes etc. The campground as a whole was very well maintained and all the staff very nice. I'd definitely recommend visiting.

Yes, they have space heaters in the wall. All SD state park cabins are the same! :)
If you want to stay over a weekend, you will definitely want to reserve. If you are coming during the week you might find open sites, but it's easy: campsd.com
The shoreline isn't accessible everywhere but you'll find plenty of spots that will work
A double on one side and a bunk on the other side with double on bottom and single on top. Saying double is being slightly generous - could probably sleep 5
It is usually at 10
I swam there a few weeks ago. I wouldn't recommend it right now. (there are some issues from water levels such as some carp kill, leeches and heavier insect population) I'm sure it'll be fine in a few weeks though, if it doesn't pour again. I hear the fishing has been off the hook though. Pun intended ;)
Water available, too. And there are designated campsites within the horse area.
We had heard that the road into oakwood may not be passable....is this true?
