This is my second stay. It's a great place and very popular with locals. You can stay as long as 14 days at a time. The annual state park pass is a bargain! Note. There aren't water or sewer hookups on campsites but there is a dump station . Also there are showers and restrooms in the park.

We had an amazing experience camping here. The campground was cozy, clean, and quiet. The trails we hiked on were well maintained and beautiful. The staff of the park also went above and beyond in helping return to us my child's shoe, which we had accidentally left behind. Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind; definitely a great place to visit!

The trees, paths, and playgrounds are great! However, we have never dealt with so many ticks!!! I do not recommend if you have littles or dogs. Both times we have gone, and stayed on-path, we have had SO MANY ticks. Between my husband and dog, we found 32 ticks after our most recent visit a few weeks ago.

Love this place so much. It's a hidden gem east river. It would take months to wander through all the paths and trails in the trees and by the river. So much fun to explore and an EXCELLENT place to take kids. 2 playgrounds, camping, a public gazebo with a grill, and an awesome little cabin that you can use to have fires with your families. Such a cool place.

It's a state park so if you park in the park, yes. But there are a couple places you can park outside the park and hop on the perimeter trails.
