A great day at the beach! I hadn’t been in years and my kids talked me into going and I’m so happy I went. The sand was hot, the water was freezing and the weather was phenomenal. God is good.

We went on a Sunday to beat the heat in the San Gabriel Valley. Got to the parking lot around 12:30 and there was a line but it was moving. Parking was $20, which at this point I find to be a steal. After you enter there is plenty of mini-lots for you to choose from. I parked in lot 20 and got out of the car, walked about 20 yards and camped right next to lifeguard tower 22. It was perfect. I like staying near the lifeguard towers just in case my kids get a little more brave than I can handle. It was a gorgeous day and once we were done, the car was right there. I think this will be our new go to beach spot.

It was a nice clear day. South/south west swell. Tide was rising at 3:15 pm. Wind was on shore around 10 knots. Surf was good to fair with sets at 4.5’

I love it down here! Just to get away for a couple nights from Whittier. It’s like having a small home on the beach!

Yes have a great time
Yes to the overnight TV facility and hookups minus cable and I have no idea about passes. Good luck and have fun.
You get to camp in a parking lot literally ... $65/night beach side and $50 facing Highway 1. Electric & water with dump station nearby.
I'll park in handicap parking an walk in with my walker
Spirits n soft drinks are no allowed in Socal beaches! Also the beach closes at 10 pm
Day Parking is $15 overnight where the RVs are is $55-$65 per night. No overnight on the beach. Only RVs Campers Trailors
The lot fills up fast , get there early. We usually get there at 930 and have no problem getting a parking spot.

At State Beach, yes but they charge ya a Grewsum Newsum fee...
They have day passes $15 per day And annual passes $195 per year. I don't know if they do monthly. You can call their office though and ask. They'd know better than i.
Never made reservations to visit a state beach. I just planned on going to the beach and went.
www.ReserveCalifornia.org
They're log pits to build camp fires, but for BBQ you have to bring your own.
Yes usually they're allowed so long as they aren't extremely big or disruptive to the other people around you at the beach
RV/Trailer camping
I agree...I also book 6 months out....get up early and make sure im on reservation site when it hits 8am. I book in feb for camping in August.
No. It's a state campground and you are limited to the amount of days in a row that you can stay. Their rates are nightly only.
You can have your own bon fire at your camp spot. Beach off limits after 10pm
Reserve america and yes however I just found out that they started to charge $10 to dump
It's all first come first serve but no overnight camping. Go south of the HB Pier and you can do overnight RV parking but no ⛺
There are some tables at the restaurants but no real picnic tables
If it aelf contained w holding tanks.
I'm not sure what your question is. Park entry in $15/day i believe
I just used those showers last week 2/17/18.
There is plenty of parking for Rvs and trailers,I think there is a extra small fee
Yes, you can even wrap up food in aluminum foil and set it on the edge of the fire ring. If you want to grill over the fire you must bring a grill at least two to three foot long to go over the flames.
