This is a short, relatively steep hike, but worth the quick stop. There's nothing like sitting at the base of naturally falling water!

AMAZING place to hike with family. Rock climbing area away from the falls. Nice full circle hiking available if you feel up to it. We enjoyed it greatly. Must see if you're in the area. The falls are something to behold for sure, especially after heavy rain. If you're looking for a fun adventure, go to Foster Falls.

I've enjoyed the Foster Falls recreation many times! It can get pretty busy on weekends so, if possible, weekday visits are best. The hike down to foster falls is short but requires walking over roots and rocks so wear appropriate footwear. If you continue hiking down the trail, you come to the climber's loop which offers some excellent sport climbing! You can exit the gorge and continue on the Fiery Gizzard Trail as far as you wish, it is absolutely beautiful and worth the hike. It is rated strenuous as you descend back into the gorge so if you aren't particularly active, give yourself plenty of time on this hike! Or stick to the easier trail around the rim, it has many excellent viewpoints to appreciate the park. Watch out for Timber Rattlers, but please don't kill them! They are not aggressive and if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. :)

Pretty awesome spot. The waterfall is such a great swimming spot, and good climbing as well. Campsites aren't too bad, but really close to the main trailhead. Hiking to the climbing areas can be a bit of a trek, but the walls are pretty close together when you get to an area. Rock is more conglomerate than other close by areas, but there's a good mix of technical face climbing, and overhung roofs. Probably a bit harder than other areas, but a solid 5.9 climber will have plenty to do here.
