I would have liked to give this property a better review, but there have been too many inconsistencies and poor service I feel like it needs to accurate. Firstly I work in this industry and gave been fir several years so I understand that some things just can't be done. Firstly I'll give the positive which is the only reason for the 2nd star which is the view of the lake from any location is wonderful. You don't feel like your in the middle of the city and get plenty of fresh air if you choose. The Maintenance staff has been responsive to my needs and get things done in a timely manner, the apartments are very spacious. Lastly the staff in the office are nice. Now on to the negatives, the office still remains closed even though the entire industry is back to open doors and normal business with COVID. Glick properties are the only ones I know of that remain closed and keep their doors locked. This wouldn't be so bad if the office actually answered their phones when you call. In order to get ahold of anyone you either need to call and leave a voice mail and hope someone calls you back the same day, or wait outside a locked door knocking in hopes someone inside will get up from their chair to answer it. Also and I won't get into this very much but READ your lease carefully or if you wish to break your lease they will try to get you to pay more than just your deposit as though your being penalized for finding a home to buy. Lastly customer service in the industry is paramount, but you can't give customer service when you lock your doors and don't have anyone in the office during lunch hourd when so many working ppl use this time to conduct personal business. This maybe Glick wide, but at least this is the instant with this property. Make sure you read your lease in its entirety, make sure you see your apartment before moving in and get all items fixed before moving in, take notes and pictures of issues prior to moving in, and prepare to have an office staff that only care about you when rent is due.

I have lived here for almost 2 years and would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Top notch staff in the office and the best maintenance staff anyone could ask for. Very friendly and extremely helpful with all work orders. And extremely efficient in getting the work done in a timely manner. Love the grounds which are kept in excellent condition with lovely flowers and shrubs and trees all over. The property manager and office staff are also very helpful and friendly. They follow through with things and send work orders to the maintenance staff as soon as they hang up the phone. Definitely if interested in an apartment then I suggest you look here.

I was extremely unhappy due to the fact that my car got towed about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the night. I live in a two bedroom apartment, but was only given one parking space for two cars. I came home one Friday and ALL the visitor parking spaces were taken which is where I usually park the extra car. I had the option to pay an extra monthly fee for another parking space, but with the high cost of this apartment, I already felt like I was overpaying on rent so of course I did not opt for the extra parking space. Anyways, I went ahead and parked on the side of the street because I literally had nowhere else to park unless I were to illegally take someone else's parking space. My car got towed and I was told that cars are only towed by the request of the property.... So incredibly frustrating! I was late to work the next day and had to haggle with the towing company for extra 2 days, all of which would have never happened if Somerset Lakes didn't request for my car to be towed. This is just a way for Somerset Lakes to try to force me to buy a monthly carport for my extra vehicle which already is a ridiculous thing to have to do due to the lack of parking in a PRIVATE COMPLEX. This isn't Downtown Indy... I shouldn't have to be searching for 20 minutes for a parking space on the weekends. I wish to be reimbursed for this massive inconvenience, but based off other reviews I've seen here, it's doubtful that it'll happen and that I'll simply receive a "We apologize for the inconvenience" sort of response. I plan on posting on every source of information to ensure that people realize that the beautiful views and spacious homes are NOT worth the stress and tiring conversations over minor issues that Somerset Lakes won't assist with. For Somerset Lakes: If you wish to resolve this issue, please offer a reimbursement and I'll gladly reconsider my opinion of the complex/management. However, if you simply wish to respond and say "I'm so sorry for your experience" without any impactful action on your part, then you can keep your hollow words to yourself.

This is a nice looking complex, but keep in mind there is insufficient parking for residents. In addition, in instituting their new parking policies, they did not clearly mark no parking areas and then had residents' vehicles towed in the middle of the night on a weekday, and refused to reimburse us for the cost. For as much as I am paying for these apartments, I should not have to deal with an apartment complex with no consideration for my livelihood. This was simply a ploy to force residents to purchase the "optional" carports at an extra monthly charge. Do not get lured by the cost of the rent; the add-ons may make another complex a much better option.
