It's not 80 dollars every 4 hours. I paid about 105 for normal hotel hours (check in on Tuesday had to check out by Wed at 11)

If you're asking whether or not Alexander Hamilton, of Founding Father and Broadway musical fame, ever lived in the Hamilton Heights Casablanca Hotel, I would have to say no. Hamilton Heights, the neighborhood in upper Manhattan is named after him, and he did live a portion of his life in the area. This hotel has been referred to as Hamilton Heights Casablanca Hotel, I assume to differentiate it from the more "upscale" boutique hotel named Casablanca Hotel Times Square. I have never, for instance, heard Hotel Caribe, a sister hotel next to Casablanca on 145th St referred to as Hamilton Heights Hotel Caribe since there is no need to differentiate. These particular establishments, which one might call "flop houses" — or, due to their option for hourly rentals, "hooker hotels" — were built sometime after the Revolutionary War period. I base this theory on their architecture and on the fact that they align with Manhattan's grid, which wasn't in existence before the 19th century.

There are cheaper options too depending on size / if you want a single bathroom or communal.

They can but honestly I wouldn't take them there. It's an all walk up hotel that is older.

Short stays of 4-6 hrs are $65 with a shared bathroom and $75 with a bathroom in the room. Overnights range from $85 for one bed and a shared bathroom, to $115 for two beds and a bathroom in the room.
