This site seems smaller than a normal store, though still well stocked. Two stars though since this location is in a building with $10 validated parking. REI could've done better. If you don't mind the parking or can walk there, it's not bad.

Mostly good experiences but they've had trouble this winter with staying open Closed early 2 weeks in a row when I needed my snowboard waxed for the next day. If I'm able to make the long drive to them with no issue, then I don't think the weather's that bad where they need to close.

I stopped in at the new REI today because it's so close to work, and wow! What a gorgeous, well-stocked store! They've got plenty of gear for cyclists, hikers, climbers, etc. I love the focus on cycling here, as there's a bike maintenance and repair station, along with workshops you can take to advance your own learning. Also, the location is just truly excellent. There are plenty of places to park your bike and there are raised and separated bike lanes. It looks like more retail will be opening up soon, so this place ought to be very popular!

If you are an outdoor person you'll go crazy when you enter the store. They have all the equipment for hiking, camping, backpacking, cycling etc. You name it they have it. I went for a session on backcountry camping an learned a good deal of information. It's very hard to resist not to buy anything when you see the goodies. Recommend for any outdoor person. The prices are not cheap so does the quality. But you get what you pay for. Check it out if you want to have your first campaign trip or backpacking trip.

The 401 Park garage, accessed from Fullerton Street, is 10 dollars for up to three hours if you validate your ticket at a location inside the building, including REI. These rates are set by the Landmark Center/401 Park building management, not REI. You can also look for street parking nearby on Brookline Avenue or Beacon Street. There is no longer a surface lot adjacent to REI.
They don't. Asked them last week
They do not.
REI might replace it for you, but if not you could replace it with a new piece of shock cord.
There is a Green Line stop (the Fenway stop) just past Bed Bath and Beyond. You can't miss it. And, there are multiple bus stops one on Brookline directly across from Landmark Center (where REI is located) and one on Park Drive at the top of the stairs from the Green Line. Hope this helps.
