Nestled in a luhs forest, the Alaska Botanical Garden's is an amazing collection of themed gardens. Truly a delight for all the senses, the sights are obviously wonderful, but we were astounded by the smells and the sizes of some of the plants. Each garden is themed so the experience is varied and there's something to enjoy for all.

Beautiful! Pleasant walk, clean trails, easy terrain, and a beautiful set up. Wide variety of plants and a clean campus. A lot of trails are paved and can be wheelchair/stroller friendly. Parking was unclear, but a school parking lot was nearby (we took a Lyft and had no need for parking).

Simply a wonderfully beautiful place to escape from the world. The staff was friendly and helpful. The flowers were varied, well taken care of and supremely stunning. The paths are well maintained and bathrooms cared for as well. A great attraction to go check out!

We enjoyed the gardens more than expected. They have flowers that we had never seen before. Everything is very well manicured, and there are multiple themed gardens to view. For a smaller botanical garden, and a very short season, the flowers were quite impressive. My favorites were the blue poppies and forget-me-nots!!

Pot recycling is organized by the local recycling group ALPAR. As of 5/30/22, we don't know if one will be held this year. Please do not bring pots to the Garden as we end up throwing most away. We only use certain sizes. Pot recycling occurs in the parking lot and admission is still in effect at that time.
We went on off season in early October, so it was donation, suggested at $5.
Wife and i spent an hour but i can easily see spending more depending on how much you want to explore considering that there are a couple hiking trails that branch out from the inside of the gardens. We didn't really explore those but imagine it could take some time if we had.
