Lovely woodland garden with well maintained walking paths. Great native plant shop to buy anything that caught your eye, plus a cafe and gift shop. Highly recommended!

Calm, peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out. Beautiful greenery with decent walking trails. Be sure to visit if you want a relaxing park with some good photo spots. I've loved my walk every time here. One of my favorite weekend spots!

Well maintained and it is a nice spot to visit at least once. If you have kids, it'll probably be a very nice day trip. I was lucky enough to go and see some blooms around. Plus, the turtles were adorable.

🌱 Hi highly recommend this place if you're looking for a beautiful short nature getaway, expecially in the spring and fall and if you love local plant life! I went last month in may for my birthday and had a lovely time getting to see all the local flowers in bloom 🌸 The staff was just so sweet and helpful and was happy to chat about the place and give us tips on what trails to take. There's lots of different habitats set up showing off the local plant life to appreciate. I definitely want to come back with a sketchbook to really appreciate the sanctuary more! Make sure to reserve your tickets online in advance and I hope you have a lovely time too 🌼❤️

I'm not sure, but if possible, there are very nice parts of the park to do it. try to call the number that appears in information
There are benches within the garden that you can sit and eat on. Just carry out your trash.
Hi Marie, No, you do not need an appointment. We are open until 5pm everyday. Enjoy your visit.
Hi Beth, We do have a variety of native grasses that grow in shade. Garden in the Woods and the plant sales area opens for the season Sunday, April 17, 2022. In the meantime you can take a look at our Plant Availability List: http://www.nativeplanttrust.org/for-your-garden/buy-native-plants/ and Garden Plant Finder tool: https://plantfinder.nativeplanttrust.org/Plant-Search
GitW enforces the 90 mile exclusion zone, so probably not. Tower Hill botanic garden does not enforce it, so you can get into Tower Hill with a GitW membership. At least that's what the clerk at GitW told us.
I would call. The staff seems quite knowledgeable.
Ann, you have sent a message to our google listing, not to the website (www.nativeplanttrust.org). Please call the Garden directly at 508-877-7630 x3601. Thank you. Jane Roy Brown, website team
No. It's not a very strenuous walk, but certainly it isn't paved and brief sections are quite steep.
No. The garden is 100% native species.
About 1 hour (more if you love photographing!)
Should be OK if you are a pretty strong pusher.
Service dogs only.
Yes, during their normal operation season.
Definitely not at Garden in the Woods.
They do not sell seeds.
Sorry. They are not.
No, we don't allow dogs in the garden.
Yes, and there are passes available at local libraries
Depends... I was able to walk it with a stroller, so a stronger scooter would probably work. Walkers would be a little more difficult, as there are some roots etc you might have trouble getting over or hills that would be a bit steepish.
