Nice place for a quiet relaxing walk. Not very well paved trail so wouldn't call it stroller friendly, but it's a fairly flat hike. Dogs can be okay so yaay! There is a creek along the trail so dogs need to be well behaved. Not sure water is safe for dogs (algae bloom). Small parking that's located next to an apartment complex.

This is a great hike with some stunning views if you take the right hand hill. It's pretty steep and connects with other parks so activate all trails to map your progress and bring water. This is one that can last all day!

Parking near Apartment complex, then Field, Forest, Creek and College-target with beautiful views on Bay Area! I am very glad that visit this trail! Pleasure!

Just below Merritt College, this hike is a journey through, what feels like, an isolated temperate canyon land. The silence, fostered be the forested walls of the ravine, is pressing yet comforting. While there are many fellow hikers on weekends, it is fairly vacant during the week. If you persist and make it to the top you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the East Bay. Several steep inclines, not handicap accessible.

Not in the day time. Don't hike there at night or any East Bay Regional park. ML do exists in the area and have been seen.
Signs are posted to idenify off and on leash portions of the trials.
