The waterfall is only a slow trickle these days. Trails are worth it. CAREFUL OF SLIPPERY SILT (That fine dust/sand) ON SLOPES! Love the wildlife and the plants, a California Thrasher curiously came close to me!

Take an easy circular route through the waterfall. Takes just over an hour. Part of the route is very comfortable in the shade of trees.

This is a great place to go out on hiking with a family. Our kidos liked to walk some phats and the amazing views out there at the top of the ⛰, this is definitely a place we'll come back!

Temescal Gateway Park is another great hiking trail in the Pacific Palisades. Parking was $12.oo for the day pass. The first quarter of a mile was relatively flat which was nice as a warm up for the incline ahead. Also near the start of the trail are picnic areas and historical information detailing some fun facts about the trail area. There was a children's birthday party being held around this area as its a great place for entertaining. There are a couple of fun things to see towards the end of the trail which I did not include photos of. I wanted to leave some mystery although it will probably pop up on other reviews. One being a waterfall about 1.3 miles from the trailhead and a skull rock about 2.1 miles from the trailhead. You may also see scrub jays flying around. They look like blue cardinals. There are magnificent views at the top of this hike that include the Santa Monica coastline. Bring plenty of water. Dogs allowed but need to be leashed. Happy Hiking!

Questions & Answers

Can I take my bike there ?

No biking. Only hiking. The trail is impossible to bike. It's a dirt rocky trail even slippery if you don't have good pair of shoes for hiking. It's mountain trail for hardcore hiking

To a certain point you can have a dog. Then there is a sign that says no dogs. However, I've seen dogs even past the sign.
