It's a great hike if you walk all the way down the hill on the concrete road and when you get to the bottom you will see the graffiti house. Then all you have to do is walk the stairs back up and you're right near where you started. If you go behind the graffiti house there is also more graffiti sprayed on the walls and on an old water tower. I wonder what this place used to be over 50 years ago?

Straight hiking baby!! Yardy know!! Bring plenty of water (and some snacks if you're willing to carry some weight) and come early in the morning; make sure you have an idea of where you're going too. For a first time hiker, it's potentially daunting because of the urban vibe that comes off from the place, but there's multiple paths you can follow, and it doesn't hurt to come with others. As always, be aware of your surroundings. Good luck out there babes!!!

One of my hiking places but it is pretty creepy if you go along. Depending on season you go, the tall grass can be heavy with ticks.

Cool place with lots of hidden photographic scenes. Short and not to strenuous walk. Stairs are steep but also quite fun. Many of the buildings are falling apart. Not much parking at the trail head.

Its 100% safe! I only go alone and I'm 4'11. I think sundown might be hours they close
Park by the residential area and make your way down to the start of the trail
Add brewers yeast powder to your dog's food. Ticks will stay away from her. My shepherd and I were there in August and no problems
There is no fixed schedule, but if a sign specifies that when night is
there's a gate. park in the neighborhood. it's a pretty walk and the ranch is easy to find if you follow the spray paint
Depends on which building you're talking about—as of July 2019 the powerhouse and stables (?) are standing but according to some hiking guides there used to be far more buildings that have since been removed. The powerhouse is boarded up and the stable looks like it's about to blow.
They have man eating monkeys.
Nope, completely free. We parked in residential parking and there is no entrance fee.
The entire trail is about 3.75 miles, but there are trail bypasses that make it a bit shorter.
