The clinicians at Reconnect are above and beyond- qualified, compassionate, consistent. However the system and center as a whole is set up for the wealthy/upperclass. You will reconnect to your body and heal from trauma IF you have the financial means. We all know trauma doesn’t discriminate and if anything it is the most vulnerable who are impacted. The program is person centered until money becomes involved. Know if you get COVID or just have COVID symptoms you (understandably) cannot come into program until you are negative. Yet they will still charge you for the two days missed (thousands of dollars depending on which level you are in). The 48 hour cancellation policy doesn’t take emergencies or the GLOBAL pandemic into consideration. 48 hour cancellation policy is totally fair outside of a pandemic and when you have an actual doctor’s note stating you are sick and cannot attend. Quite literally you could be losing over two months rent and be at risk of a housing crisis due to this policy. The grievance process is slow, round about, and only looked at from a financial stand point until they realize you truly don’t have the means then they will cut you a “deal” for financial hardship- which still results in a hefty bill. Dr. Darsa will make sure you know that she is busy and has her own clients and will be bothered by the inconvenience of your grievance. Intake will make sure you know if you are getting a deal as a single case agreement and continue to remind you of that each time you have a financial question as if you should be grateful for their deal. Dr. Darsa’s book is “complimentary” upon intake until you leave and they charge you for it. Really disappointing as the treatment is above and beyond but access to the treatment is for the privileged.
