They have man eating monkeys.
The trail seemed pretty clear of deadly animals but I think we should always be on the lookout for rattlesnakes and black widows in Southern California. One of the hiking Web sites warned against ticks in the more overgrown stretches of the trail.
Always prepare for the worst (including man-eating monkeys), but generally speaking this trail is well traveled and the risk from snakes and scorpions is rather low.
Ive never ran into anything bro but it is definately haunted ive been there 3 times at night and me and my group of friends never finish exploring so just in case take a pocket knife
